    Poor Zijun! 2 deductions.

Vanessa Lam up next. Her season's best is less than Risa's score.

The lack of video is so annoying. The ISU was quicker putting up video for the regular JGPs. Hopefully they will at least post something by the end of the day.

Vanessa scored a SB, and a PB.
She beat Risa in just PE. The rest are a bit lower.

Surprised Polina got the highest PCS so far. In her previous GP events, hers were like 4th or 5th. In the final, I expected hers to be 6th.

    1 Julia LIPNITSKAIA RUS 59.98 1
    2 Polina SHELEPEN RUS 54.99 2
    3 Vanessa LAM USA 54.34 3
    4 Risa SHOJI JPN 51.53 4
    5 Polina KOROBEYNIKOVA RUS 45.24 5
    6 Zijun LI CHN 43.10 6

    1. Julia is definitely going to win.
2-4. All 3 have a PB of 106.XX in the LP. So if they skated to their best, they will keep their standing.
5-6. Fighting for 5-6. Both 5-6 have PB LP significantly lower than 2-4.

I think Julia should cool it with those ... moves where she stretched her legs to some really uncomfortable and ugly positions. God, her PE should be like 2 for constantly showing ugliness. ... Not elegant, not pretty, just straight up circus tricks.

I would put her third to last. Definitely lower than Risa.

Polina and Vanessa scored about right.

While FlattFan was a bit, uh, demonstrative and maybe a little over the top in his/her description, I think Lipnitskaya needs different choreography to SHOWCASE her skills rather than a program that looks to me like someone took a rhythmic gymnastics exercise and put it on skates with figure skating jumps between. Yes, she's flexible, we get it, but to keep doing the same flexibility move for very short bursts (1-2 seconds or less) over and over again just detracts and distracts from her program, in my opinion.

I agree, especially since her body lines are not very good when she does those elements. She just contorts herself to get her leg as high as possible. Also, her programs this year are obvious imitations of Sasha's 2010 olympic programs, and the comparison is doing her no favors.
