Alena into 1st, just one minor fall, better presentation this time imho. Seems to be the only one that wants it.

What is a minor fall? She fell on the Lutz and pretty disruptively so. She also doubled another jump.

Alissa must have had some massive downgrades. Every jump looked URed to me.

Alena's opening 3-3 was quite beautiful. Lovely air position and height.

I was worried there might be an injury - it (or something awful) is written all over her face. I hated to see how sad she looked in the KnC too. Really hope she recovers (if it is injury) completely and quickly; and she can be proud that she fought through this, that takes guts!

Lol yeah I know a fall is a fall is a fall, but in COP it means absolutely NOTHING. So be it...

Alena & Suzuki have very very similar style, somatypes, et al, this one is a tough one to call. It'll be close, but I give it to the latter by a hair.

Oh dear. This was far from Akiko's best. No falls, but several stepouts. Don't tell me Leonova could win this thing (if Carolina melts).

Alena was grossly overrated because of her 'R' label.

Praying for judges to recognize Akiko's superiority.

Not Akiko's best, but I still find her so appealing and pleasant to watch. Plus, I feel like she and her program are way more connected to the music than Leonova's....(not disrespect, she can jump, but I'm not feeling a lot of good choreo or interpretation, and she seems to skate at one speed - semi fast, without much variation).

Nope, even I won't go so far to say "it's skating while Russian", how about "skating while Asian". Yeah, you don't like it either, get my point.
