In Pairs I will go with you, but only if Kavaguchi/Smirnov will not compete.
In Ladies I think I will put Alena Leonova second. She is very competitive, a fighter.
In Men --- I am not sure about Plushchenko. There is a lot of hype over his getting back. Also, he was supposed to compete earlier and did not.

And in Ice Dance -- I would put Riazanova/Tkachenko in third place. I know that Khalavin was ill, so that's why they did not compete for some time. If they will be healthy they may skate better then R/T but I would put them in third place, I/K in second and B/S in first.

I know Leonova even has a chance of winning but I dont want her to win at all, so silver would be ok
Im still hoping Adelina can fix all her Lutz jumps and defend the title if not Julia Lipnitskaya will win the Ladies

maybe hype? but not all, part of me is I'm excited of Pluschenko's return if he skates clean
highly lilkely he can win over Gachinski, and a clean Gachinski is very rare. LOL
on the other hand, I really like Maxim Kovtun, very promising 16 year old and he did a good performance at JGP
he just needs to step it up further !

Ekaterina Bobrova/Dmitry Soloviev have been very sloppy and messy lately
so it will be interesting if they can defend their title, M/K I doubt they can win ,this will be their first competition
after injury but 2nd place I'm still hoping

In Russian Cup, Kazan, Rosa Sheveleva was 17. It means that she did not qualify for Russian Nationals
    ****
I LIKE Leonova. And I want her to be second. [first would be my dream]

    I thought she was like 15/16 ?
sad, she had potentials but she hasn't been exposed much at international competitions lately too

I dont know what is it with Leonova
but for some reason the more I wish she will not medal, she medals
so maybe I should predict Gold for Leonova so she will not win,

I agree, I respect though that Leonova is a fighter even with all the young russian skaters she is fighting to be on top
so far Julia Lipnitskaya is the whole package, seems the International audience loves her too ( standing ovation in quebec * )

Julia I see in her a Mix of Yuna Kim, Tara Lipinski and Sasha Cohen

I'm pumped ~ last night I watched the greatest movie ever ~ WARRIOR! Now I can't wait to watch Zhenya take to the ice at Russian Nationals in just a matter of days. Greatest skater that ever lived:

He is competing, and he will probably win, but I don't like him. It is, I guess, something subjective.
(it is like Leonova with you, something makes you wish she did not win. Same with me and Plushchenko)

Btw, why is Elena Radionova gets to compete, I know she medal on a podium in the Russian Cup event stages
but didnt Natalia Ogoreltseva also won those stages or was she just competing at all juniors levels
isnt Ogoreltseva just like 1 year younger than Radionova who is now 12 ?

her LP, I like her and she trains with Mishin right ? she has the same jumping air lift style like Elizaveta, LOL
I think she won on a Russian Cup event stage , but maybe just in junior category , so is that the reason she didn't make the russian senior nationals ?

    Natalia Ogoreltseva LP:
love her musicality, great jumper and her spins are fast
I think I just found another new favorite skater.

her SP sample is nice too:

did Natalia Ogoreltseva medal at last Russian Junior Championships ???

Don't you think that 11 years old is a little bit too young to be a senior? Ogorelceva can compete on national stage but can not compete as senior on international stage, yet. And Russians are focused on Sochi. I think that she will be too young to compete in Sochi.

I like Leonova and am sorry to see her being passed, but I don't think this is her year. Barring any major mistakes the ladies podium will be Lipniskaya, Tuktamysheva, Sotnikova. Sotnikova hasn't been the most consistent this year and if that continues Leonova may edge in for the bronze- or Shelepen may grab it.
