Eh...no, not everyone. I have no doubt Chan will (if not already has) surpass Browning.
I think Kurt wouldn't mind having hair, but not sure about the mullet just say no!
I look forward to Chan's becoming awesome, but you don't surpass someone like Browning. Not because Chan isn't as good--the jury's out on that for a few years anyway. It's because at that level, there's no way to measure anymore. Think of it this way: did the Beatles surpass Sinatra? Did Kelly surpass Astaire? Did Audrey Hepburn surpass Katharine Hepburn? Did Streisand surpass Judy Garland? For that matter, did Browning surpass Curry? (Fill in the artists of your choice.) What each of those luminaries did is for all time. Surpassing isn't relevant.
But if any of you folk come to feel about Patrick the way I (and Tonichelle) feel about Kurt, tremendous! It's great to have skaters in the pantheon who inspire that now-and-forever awe in fans.
Oh, and by the way, I'd rather see Browning with no hair (like he is now) then with the mullet. Mullet should be illegal and ban worldwide.
To me, there is a cool mischievousness to Patrick's skating that sets him apart. Like he is inviting us to share a delightful joke.
How do you get to speak for everyone who is anyone in skating?
It's Patrick's birthday? I hope he has a great day.
Skatefiguring, I hope you are on the payroll, as you do such good PR for Patrick. You clearly love, admire, even idolize Patrick. Besides his obvious prowess on the ice, I wonder what you might have in common. If you are female, I would say you are smitten. I wonder what other skaters you enjoy as your post seems to be Chan-centric. Just curious, in a good way...
Happy 21st Birthday, Patrick!
I read this article about Armin, and noticed these sentences:
"Mahbanoozadeh, who trained under Priscilla Hill in Wilmington, Del., the past two seasons, is now coached by a team headed by Christy Krall and including Eddie Shipstad and Catarina Lindgren. Krall also coaches Canadian world champion Patrick Chan and U.S. senior competitors Josh Farris, Agnes Zawadzki and Angela Wang."
I wonder how much time Krall has for Patrick now that she has so many students. I'd pay her less if I were Patrick. :disapp:
