Patrick said he 'looked funny in ballet leotards' so I looked out for his 'funny legs' - fillet mignon legs  No 'fillet legs' as far as I can see? Wrong angle?

Maybe. But even at this angle, his thighs are not thin for a boy of that age.

Other Canadians (J10, Phaneuf, and Lacoste) are all reported to be doing very well and enjoying it.

^^^I tried following Boeing787's steps, my didn't work either. But I can see the link you posted here. Patrick's funny fall is played over and over.

Most of the time they play the gif to mock him, but this is funny to say he tried to jump through the board to get close to Dai, with the picture of them above. Did you see the video of Dai's reaction to his wallbanging?

Isn't that something?! When you're hot, you're hot!
Remember the photo of Patrick and Dai I linked above, which Durian probably couldn't see? Here's a funny comment on it:

When you're hot, you're hot :yay::love:

I couldn't see your Baidu picture links via MFox or Explorer :disapp: Probably software problem.
What are they talking about above? these two guys. Dai's SP is brilliant. Both have great skating skills. Dai's style (in my personal opinion) is more dramatic hence fast and dramatic music somehow suits him very well. Yeah, the press always like to play up the rivalry? (maybe they want to see Nancy knock knees drama) Of course, they both want to win .. afterall it's a competition. But I am sure these two men are matured and sensible to separate competition from personal friendships.

Please link the 4CC competition here if you can, anyone.

I remember LOL at a video of somebody filming Joubert loitering around while the World Champ Takahashi was doing his run thru in the rink, and here is one of Daisuke sitting around changing footwear while the current champ is skating in a competition.
Thanks, funny.

I was watching Kristy's reaction too. She didn't really react much to Patrick falling. Emotions well under control. But could see her mouthing her thoughts eaach time Patrick jumps.

Bluebonnet, I couldn't and didn't see the skating, but I thought based on the thread and posters, some were arguing that Patrick fell...(from the usual posters). I salute your loyalty to Chiddy! :p
SF, the links to 4CC in the other threads were all geoblocked. :disapp:
Anyway we Patrick ubers are delirious that he has added another gold medal to his collection and looking good en route to Sochi.
And yes, SF agree with you. Patrick is truthful in his interview ... that he needs to keep grounded. Certainly his dominance now will be added pressure for him to bring back gold in Sochi. I hope he knows now how to handle these high expectations. In fact, I think it's good that the competition is held in Sochi because home crowd sometimes can work to one's disadvantage. Let's celebrate for Chiiddy ....:party2::clap::party2:

Chan sees Takahashi as top worlds rival

I like that he always learns from every competition and experience: Patrick Chan keeps win streak alive at Four Continents

A Japanese forum has long probably complete quotes from the press conferences.

Patrick Chan (CAN), 2012 Four Continents Champion
Today I actually felt pretty nervous going into the long, more nervous than I’ve been in a long time. I was very happy. I stayed focused after a rough practice this morning. I took the time to rest and I did the elements really well. I learned a lot this week. (on skating for a smaller crowd than he’s used to) It was a shock in the short program. Daisuke and I just came from nationals where it was a full house every night. It’s odd to be at an event to not have audience to pump you up this late at night. For the long program, it was familiar territory. But we’re such good athletes that we get on the ice and do not pay so much attention to the audience. It was weird but it was good and different. (on feeling altitude) I can say that training here is different than actually competing here. I didn’t have an advantage of training here. I hit the wall at a point going into the last spin before the last triple Lutz. I was quite dead. I had to stay on my feet and not get too big because that’s when you lose your balance. For Daisuke and I, going to Worlds, it gives us confidence that it will be easier. I told myself going into my last spin that this is going to be the hardest of them all. It was interesting because last year I didn’t do Four Continents because it was in Taipei so I sat out. I like to see every competition as a training day. Every day I come in and put 100 percent in to it. I kind of have the mentality of taking every competition with the mentality of putting 100 percent into it. Every day I come into each event I feel intimidated by the others. I feel just as on my toes. It’s a mentality I take. I take it seriously. It’s all about developing. Developing as an athlete, developing the sport. Every skater has something to bring to the table. Daisuke, and now Ross.
