To me, there is a cool mischievousness to Patrick's skating that sets him apart. Like he is inviting us to share a delightful joke.

I just love the way he floats over the ice, which offers no friction.
I can't help measuring everybody's skating with Patrick Chan's, the standard.
Technical skills are necessarily rated in relevence to the time. As far as performance, artistry, and versatility are concerned, I see few who could match him at the same age. And he's still developing and growing in his craft.
Happy, happy 21st birthday, Patrick Chan!

It's Patrick's birthday? I hope he has a great day.
It's my turn.
Happy birthday, Patrick Chan, now a full grown man, oh yeah.
Keep on rocking, Champ!![]()
Skatefiguring, I hope you are on the payroll, as you do such good PR for Patrick. You clearly love, admire, even idolize Patrick. Besides his obvious prowess on the ice, I wonder what you might have in common. If you are female, I would say you are smitten. I wonder what other skaters you enjoy as your post seems to be Chan-centric. Just curious, in a good way...![]()
Happy Birthday, Patrick!!!![]()

Happy 21st Birthday, Patrick!
I read this article about Armin, and noticed these sentences:
"Mahbanoozadeh, who trained under Priscilla Hill in Wilmington, Del., the past two seasons, is now coached by a team headed by Christy Krall and including Eddie Shipstad and Catarina Lindgren. Krall also coaches Canadian world champion Patrick Chan and U.S. senior competitors Josh Farris, Agnes Zawadzki and Angela Wang."
I wonder how much time Krall has for Patrick now that she has so many students. I'd pay her less if I were Patrick.![]()
Krall is attracting students after her spectacular success with Patrick. She was coaching part time when she took in Patrick who has thanked her for doing so. She was and is a specialist but I immediately liked her and Nichol's holistic approach for Patrick. Now skaters flock to her in hope of achieving similar success and to train with Patrick. As for time, at least it's team work in that centre. Access to various experts, Dartfish technology, high altitude, and the opportunity to train with and observe the World Champion all make it very alluring for aspiring skaters.
Then what's good for Patrick?
