The biggest peeve of all time IMO: people pushing with their toe pics! Anyone who is advanced enough to be in high level competitions, in shows, or working as instructors ought to be able to do proper forward stroking. I don't care how well someone can jump and spin - if they can't move forward without pushing with their toes, they don't know how to skate.

I don't know which of these is my pet peeve but they're all on the same subject.

- Skaters losing count after missing an element and doing jumps worth 0 points, like Oda in last Worlds: 3t-3t followed by 3a-3t.
- Commentators not knowing what's wrong with that, like our local one praising Oda for making a wise move and not risking a difficult element and then wondering why he got such a low score.
- The Zayak rule being too strict points-wise considering that most spectators don't understand it and also end up wondering why Oda got such a low score.
