Really odd fall by Elena Ilinykh they both seemed confused and didn't know what to do for a moment. Both laughed at the end.

anyway, they come to first (the fall wasn't on an element) ahead of clean Riazanova/Tkachenko. Tarasova disagreed with the results.

Seriously, I honestly thought I would miss it due to Christmas Eve and Midnight Mass, et al, but your post says otherwise. Lol, the times are so confusing that I was sure I would miss it, but no, allright!!!!

Elena's fall was unfortunate, she pushed Nikita too hard maybe
I really felt sorry for her, because she was so into the program like a diva she is and than right on the music beat she falls. She felt a little embarrassed at the end but it's good they laughed and seemed relaxed. Still, looking at their score I wonder how close to B/S would they be without the fall(which was very disruptive, I'm guessing it affected their PCS also, besides the -1 deduction for the fall). I must say I love her dress. She looks fabulous.
I didn't like R/T's program, the music cut is strange and has 0 latin feel. But she also looked fabulous.
I admit I kinda like the first part of B/S program. But their costumes and interpretation are not that good. Another dress( maybe like the one Tessa wore on the GP) would bring more to the program.
M/K skated pretty good considering his illness and P/G were ok but nothing special.
Overall it's pretty clear who top 3 will be unless major a disaster happens. It remains to be seen who's second and who's third

After watching Bobrova and Soloviev's SD, I'm not convinced by their score of 70.23. I'm not an ice dancing expert, so I don't know whether they significantly improved that part, but it looked like they had two mistakes in the twizzles (out of synch after the first one and Dimitri being off balance in the second set) as well as in their circular footwork near the end where it looked like he fell out of the last twizzles that they did.
Their lift did look better than it used to though. However, I still think that there's too much going on in it which detracts from aesthetics of it.
Also, they ended a beat after the music.

Which do you prefer? Her current one or her Halloween one? I think that this is a step up since the Halloween one made her look a little fat. If she weren't already wearing red in the FD (new costumes!!) I would say that that might be a good color.

Even a plastic bag is better than the first one she wore. The current one is not an ugly dress by any means, but it's not working with the program's theme. She has a great body, long limbs, she can wear anything she wants, I don't get it why her or her team can't come up with something more latin. She would rock the dress that Elena wore, for example(not that Elena doesn't )On the other hand, all her dresses/costumes have a long skirt and sleeves. Maybe she is not comfortable wearing something with a low cut.

That's very possible. It's a shame though since she's quite beautiful and could probably pull off something a little sexier.
