I think he isn't ready yet
-
I've been so overcome by Zhenya's return to the ice that I forgot everybody else, lol.
Anyhow, now that I'm settled down, just got through watching the latest young man on the ice. Fall on opening quad, both hands down on 3A, first part of 3/3 landed, but second part hands down. Not good.

I think the only one that can challenge Zhenya is Gachinski. If he's on he can edge him out imho. He has a way better program, that's why. Jmho.
-
Nice clean program by Artur Dmietriev Jr. 3A, 3/3, 3L, but his spins are weak. Still, I think I'd place him 2nd or 3rd. Jmho.
-
ps: he looks like both of his parents. Artur Sr. must be proud.
-
C'mon, Artur Gachinski!!!! Go,go,go!!!

1 Evgeni Plushenko 88.24

leave no stone unturned
I like this program better than the arranguez that never liked it. Is it some version of Vivaldi? Anyway he doesnt seem ready but what an axel, I didnt watch after that
Yey Arthur! And I m glad about Grigoriev, I think he has developped great!
-
He does it, I had butterflies, but I acknowledge this kid's prowess, like looking at Zhenya from 10 yrs. ago. Fab opening 4/2, spread eagle into 3A, and nice 3R. And his program kicks butt.

Shaba22, you already know the results?
I would have given it to the kid imho. He was better than Zhenya. It pains me to say so but it's the truth. Evgeni needs more time to heal, but he is after all a legend, and not just in Russia, rather in the entire history of figure skating. I bow down to this.

leave no stone unturned
Plushenko interview:
he is very happy. it was incredibly hard for him, mentally, as he's competing after so long and still recovering from his knee thing ...... there is still a lot to improve and he will continue to work on his program. and he's very grateful for the support
Dimitriev trains with who now?
-
he trains with Elena Buyanova
-
PS: when you're competing against a LEGEND, it's *not* good enough to match him jump for jump, you need to kick his a**. Same thing with Michelle Kwan at Nationals, no one, and I mean no one stepped up to the plate and totally blew her away. One has to go above & beyond when one is competing against a legend. Jmho.

Hey, aren't they going to show the last group?
I wanted to see Menshov, et al skate...
But all I see is interviews.
