There is a tram directly from the city centre to the Arena. You take the tram in the direction of Meadowhall shopping centre.

Thank you both! We had booked already a hotel that now I luckily found it has a supertram stop next to it (the castle something) but bus is a plus too! Will you be at Euros too? I dont know anyone from GS coming (maybe i hope Trewn :D) except for the great Antmanb that I m thrilled to finally meet him!
I did clean it today, sorry it was full

Say hi to antmanb for me too! i also miss his posts.

BTW, while we are wishing well to the GBR team, we should not forget to wish well to Walden & Edwards, the second GBR dance team behind Coomes & Buckland.

I have actually been lurking on GS agian for the last couple of weeks! Hello to everyone! I'm very excited about finally seing a proper senior international event and so close to home! I'm guessing i'll likely be bitten by the bug and have to spend all of my money on skating competitions like Seniorita!

I'm excited to finally get to see Plushy (albeit not representative of how he has kated in the past). Soooooo excited to get to see Joubert (potentially ditto as for Plushy) and I am absolutely crazy about getting to see Fernandez, Volosozhar(sp?)& Trankov and (injury permitting?) Aliona& Robin.

I might try and dip back in to give some reports/impressions, maybe give marks to Seniorita for FR (friendliness), AP (appearence), SC (screaming particularly for Plush), and CO (conversation)

I am going up to Sheffield tomorrow as I am one of the Volunteers at the event! I am helping with all the media and also helping to organise and run the Skaters Party/Banquet at the end of the championships!

I am hoping to run into most of the skaters at some point during the championships (mostly excited to meet Fernandez, Plushy and Joubert!) and my aim while I am there is to get as many photos as I can with the skaters also try and get as many autographs as possible!!!

I also know that John and Sinead Kerr with both be attending the championships but I am unsure what they will be doing while they are there!

    Can't wait until tomorrow!!!

Wow! It must be really cool to finally see a proper senior international event for a long-time member of FS forums. I am very happy for you! And I am incredibly glad to hear that Plush excites you so much.

For those who are either can't go there or are simply not in the mood to visit that yorkshirish-how-to-spell-it place, His Majesty Internet will do the work to cheer up for Master Plush. Well, to be fair, mostly Russians are generous enough not to block online channels, like their international colleagues often do. The TV channel Rossiya-2 will cover the event LIVE and in full. Eurosport won't bother much, it will show it recorded and in a much shorter version.

Official schedule and time zones (if you still occasionally get lost like mysefl):
    www.europeans2012.co.uk/schedule
    www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/

    TV schedules:

    http://russia.tv/russia2/
    http://tv.eurosport.com/tvschedule.shtml
    http://tv.eurosport.ru/tvschedule.shtml

LIVE STREAMS (watch whatever link works better on your computer):

    Rossiya-2, LIVE:
    http://tvsport24.info/tv_social_online.php?channel=49
    http://video.212.ua/ru/russia_channel_2_online

    http://www.belsmi.narod.ru/tv_rtr-2.htm
    http://en.pro-tv.net/1257-rossia-2.html
http://kaban.tv/rossiya-2-online (refresh the browser in case you have some trouble)
www.debilizator.tv/tv.cgi?kanal=7 (seems like they are back, used to ob down with the-site-is-overloaded sign. Possible to watch tv programs later, if you missed the stuff. Click on the right date and go)
    Pay channels for Rossiya-2:
    http://www.rutelevision.com/index-en.asp
    http://tvteka.com/live/rossiya2

Also, this site seems like confident in promising to show preliminary rounds, which I find hard to believe. But just in case I leave the links here, the same site, whatever link works (if it does) :
    http://livetv.ru/en/eventinfo/102721..._championship/
    http://livetv.ru/eventinfo/102721_20..._championship/

Eurosport (Russian), (delayed, not LIVE, see the TV schedule above):
    http://tvali.eu/index.php?action=sat&channel=913
    http://onlinetvi.com/pl/eurosport-online/

ISU pay channel is available in some countries. Check first if yours is on the list before to pay (mine is not, for example):
    http://livemanager.eurovision.edgesu...pay/index.html

For Japan-residents: the sky channel JSport4 will cover the event (boys and gilrs LIVE, all others are not):

HA! Ant will honor us with his presence in 2012?
And I bet Plushy is very excited to see you!! As a matter of fact I think you are the reason he asked ISU the exception

and I know how generous you are when it comes to pcs! I have to pratice polite, go to hairdresser, sing in front of mirror and study english, so in general be and behave like Charlize Theron.. in a week!
