    Again, regardless of the quality of skate, can't put much stock in a show performance. JMO

    Agreed. Also, one good/bad performance at a competition doesn't always carry over to the next event but, whatever I want Czisny to skate a strong performance regardless.

    IMO, Valse Triste is not a good choice for Czisny. She is a slow skater, and this piece only underlines how slow she really is. Worse, the opening bars are so slow that it almost invites Alissa to stalk her opening jumps, unfortunate since she is not the most confident skater in the first place. If she doesn't land the first couple of jumps cleanly, then there goes the performance.

    ^ That is perfectly stated. For the first two jumping passes Alissa looks like she is going to her own funeral, complete with funeral dirge grinding away in the background.

    she hasn't said yet. she says she is taking it one season at a time which is a smart outlook. but i really really hope she takes one more shot at the olympics.

    Totally agree! If anything it makes her skating seem even slower than it already is. Hope she performs better in San Jose.
