Strong overall. Should be enough for bronze I think. The Russian pairs teams are really deep right now...

Lovely, just lovely arm movements from Stolbova. She may have the most fluidly expressive arms I've seen in skating.

Nice skate from S/K but they have given the Italians a chance as their SBS jumps were a bit off. I really like them. Eurosport have gone live for the last 3 performances

I enjoyed but was that 9 points better than the Italians?

Fortunately, the BBC are providing coverage in the UK as are Eurosport. Hence, I will not be watching Eurosport at all - as I hope most skating fans in the UK won't. That way, it will send a message to Eurosport that their coverage of these Championships is appalling. Basically, Eurosport are mostly showing a football competition instead.

Here's hoping the British skaters do really well in these Championships - that way, the BBC may be prepared to provide a lot more coverage.

It almost happened again! Tatiana had a balancing check problem during a foot change on the SBS spin, and almost completely lost momentum. But she trooped on and kept the spin going, however slowly.

Awkward exit on their last lift. On the replay, it seems Trankov had a bit of footing issue. But like the champs they are, they absolutely refused to let gravity and physics get the better of them, and covered up the errors admirably.

If they could just get the exits a LITTLE smoother I think B/L would have the best lifts in the business. Pity the side-by-side gave them trouble but overall a really beautiful performance. I like these two more and more.
