It's really nice to see the French ladies have such strong performances here. Since the days of Bonaly, Hubert, Gusmeroli and Leray, they really haven't had strong results internationally. That appears to be changing.
The final flight is going to be very interesting. It's really Caroliina's fight to lose. Her reception this year has been great. I'm personally rooting for Alena though. If she has a good skate, she can easily win this as well. Kiira and Jenna could also do well here as well with strong performances. With the way Makarova has been skating this season, I don't really factor her in, although if she skates her SP like at Russian Nationals she could pull of a huge upset here. It's hard to say.

This was a new SP for Ksenia, right? Wasn't she doing some Marilyn Monroe thing before? Or was that the LP? The GP series seems a long time ago, haha. Anyway, I like it.
Ksenia looked gorgeous out there, lovely program, speed and coverage very nice, seems to have got over her injury problem from the GP which is good news, shame about the 2nd triple to her triple triple, stumbled off, fully round i think. Loop gorgeous from triple 3's, axel just round, spins very nice footwork good too. I would put it 2nd despite the mistake.
MAkarova's SP is my favourite this season.
Both Kiira and Ksenia a delight to watch. (I think Kiira's loop was DG)

Well, now I feel stupid, the 'Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend' was Ksenia's LP, not an old SP..
Anyway, Valentina brought it.
Great job Valentina - that was a surprise!!! since her coaching change but it is with Sato and dungjen so good transition - lovely program - fast, love always her charisma and Italian expression - always shines through when she is on, great salchow from steps, good lutz combo, great speed and flow.
Since Jason Dungjen is at US Nationals with Alissa, who is with Valentina??
