Is there any possibility for European Skating fans to watch 4CCs?

So far I've only found coverage on

- Universal Sports

- IN

- ISU skating channel: http://livemanager.eurovision.edgesuite.net/isu/pay/index.html

But none of it works for me, because I'm blocked out on each of them. It's very annoying, because I'm actually willing to spend money on the coverage (regardless of the channel). :bang::bang:

Eurosport isn't covering 4CCs. Is a Russian TV station, CCTV or a Japanese TV station covering it? Or do I have to wait until a kind soul puts it on youtube?

How come we Europeans can't watch 4CC on ISU's PPV channel? Has anyone bought the rights? I live in Denmark and can't imagine that someone would have done that.

A few years ago, there was a Turkish television station that was broadcasting skating events. I think they were available everywhere.

The supposed live broadcast times by CCTV5 do not correspond to the event schedule.

Why should N. American non IN customers stay past midnight to watch an event in the US, live or close to live? Not fair!

I hope CCTV will make some corrections.

eta. I got this Beijing time schedule from a Chinese forum:

Feb 10
Men SP 09:45

Feb 11
Ladies SP 04:00
Men LP 10:00

Feb 12
Pairs SP 04:00
Dance SP 06:30
Ladies LP 10:00

Feb 13
Pairs LP 03:00
Dance LP 05:45
Gala 10:00

This Beijing Time live schedule does not match CCTV5 live broadcast times. Come on, now, CCTV, live means live.

CBC will be showing some in Canada on TV over the weekend. They may also have online streaming, but I'm noy 100% sure of that.

According to this time table

CNTV will be doing some full live-cast while CCTV5 will stream portions. Quite a week for Chinese skating fans with 3 days of re-cast of GP SA, TEB, and GPF before the 4CC.

I believe CCTV5 can be accessed. Both can be viewed via SOP and maybe some other means.

The schedule converted to EST:

Men SP
Feb 10 CNTV 9:45 - 14:20 ---> 8:45 PM (Feb 9)- 1:20 AM (Feb 10)
Feb 10 CCTV5 12:30 ---> 11:30 PM (Feb 9)

Ladies SP
Feb 11 CNTV 3:45 - 8:30 ---> Feb 10 2:45 PM - 7:30 PM

Men LP
Feb 11 CNTV 9:45 - 14:30 ---> 8:45 PM (Feb 10) - 1:30 AM (Feb 11)
CCTV5 12:30 ---> 1130 PM (Feb 10)

Pairs SP, Dance SP, and Ladies LP
Feb 12 CNTV 03:45 - 14:20 ---> Feb 11 2:45 PM - 1:20AM (Feb 12)

Replay
Feb 12 CCTV5 8:35 Pairs SP ---> Feb 11 7:35 PM
Feb 12 CCTV5 14:55 Ladies LP ---> 1:55 AM

It's great for most skating fans that more countries are involved in the sport and more interested and invested as their skaters are doing well. The Chinese network won't be showing Dance LP but now they showing Men with Nan Song and other young ones showing great potential and winning chances. The more broadcasts and livestreaming there are, the more we are likely to get to watch live and complete competitions.

Do you have a satellite dish facing south? I live in the UK and I have one. I can access Raisport 1 & 2, which broadcasts most of major international FS competitions, some live real time, others with a few hours' delay. For 4CC, they will show on Raisport 2 :
10 Feb 22:20 - men's SP
11 Feb 22:30 - pairs' SP, ladies' SP
(presumably similar coverage the following week, the programme schedule is not yet on their website).
I am a big fan of Raisport FS coverage. The fact that Italy has Caro and Berton/Hotarek helps, I guess.

And they have Anna & Luca!! Who have fabulous programs this year.

And even Bacchini and Contesti are pretty good.

In Canada, CBC is doing delayed coverage (blah).

Men and Women's FP Sunday 2/12 3:00-5:00PM (PST, but maybe the same across Canada? Check local listings)
Pairs and Dance FP Monday 2/13 1:00AM-3:00AM and again Saturday 2/18 1:00PM-3:00PM

So... I'll be checking back here when the event starts in hopes of picking up a live feed :)

Does anybody else find it extremely irritating that the ISU is streaming for free short track skating but is overcharging for the figure skating?
