I think there hasn't been that much thread about promising boys skaters compared to threads about girls like Gold, Tukt etc.
I know 2014 and 2018 are far off, and with respects to the current crop of skaters anything can happen
I don't know what the future holds for these young skaters but hopefully they will come with age and make a real wave in the sport .

there are of course talented skaters in every country, if you have more pls free to share.
I'll just post promising juniors from 5 countries that has a considerable share in the figure skating world.
time will tell how they will progress from year on.

(USA) Nathan Chen - 13 yrs. old, has been in the spotlight for a while and he has been compared to Chan(Chen) but I think Chen maybe more artistic in the future, he has a full arsenal of triple jumps and fast spinner, has won junior national championships. has not yet competed in jgp
of course there are others like Vincent and many others waiting in the spotlight

(Russia) Alexander Samarin - 13. yrs. old, Samarin has good flows on the ice and spins, also has triple jumps and finished either 1st or 2nd in all novice and local competitions .has done 3A in practice. but he withdrew from 2012 Russian Junior Championships because of he was sick.
has not yet competed in jgp

(Japan) Shoma Uno - he is small for a 14 yrs. old competed in Youth Olympics and has competed in jgp (After Daisuke may certainly pass on to my favorite Yuzuru Hanyu.) but Shoma has potential but he is still raw and rough on the edges

Nathan Chen won't be 13 until May. He will be eligible for the JGP next fall.
Vincent Zhou, who just won the US Novice championship, is 11. He's just as phenomenal as Nathan.

The forum ate my post on Philip Warren because I put in an IN link. Oops.

He's not a Wunderkind as he's 18 and missing the 3A and quad (he does have a 3T-3T). However, he has great ease and flow as well as fantastic interpretation for one who's still a junior. Somehow he reminds me of Javier Fernandez and I'm hoping he can develop the big jumps. He'll be competing in seniors next year - fingers crossed. No vids, alas.

Vincent is wonderful!

I keep thinking of Dennis Ten as a young 'un to watch, but of course he's already in seniors.

I think it'll be all about Jason Brown, Han Yan, and Joshua Farris for the 2014-2018 quad. Yan has the advantage in that I expect him to get more senior experience in before the other two.

Han Yan has stated his aim is 2018, not sure about Farris though

With the current value system, more skaters will try to include both quad toe and quad Salchow in their programs. This will increase the risk of injury. Hope all of these young talents stay healthy and minimize injuries. They will have a bright future.

Yes, that's a concern. I will not soon forget Joshua Farris' skate on a broken ankle last year in the LP at Nationals. I have seldom seen anything so painful.
