Fitness will count for a lot in the LP. And winners will be determined by the LP.

The 3 Japanese are very close, little over a point difference. A drop after them.

I just managed to get online to say I am so happy for Mura! He has been my second favorite Japanese man behind Takahiko since the Olympic season (though I admit his programs this season are doing nothing for me). He has strong skating skills and huge jumps. The choreography in this program just doesn't do justice to the quality of his skating.

Wow Ross Miner is the highest ranking American right now in this competition. Somehow, I think Miner is going to slow-and-steady route to domination....Am I crazy for thinking this?

Congrats to Mura, sounds like he was the only one who came out roaring tonight.

Hopefully some videos will show up on Youtube soon!

Machida's TES (43.88) and Miner's TES (41.68) were higher than Takahashi's (41.64).

Oh, but wait, you are talking TES -- not PCS -- Dai's PCS should definitely be higher than everyone's here. The TES scores I can understand might be in a similar ballpark.

You're kidding!!! What exactly are these judges looking at. No credibility whatsoever.

Not really. It makes sense if Daisuke received a < call (which isn't unlikely based on how people were saying his combo looked "tight") and he also had a 1-point deduction for the fall. Also, the negative GOE he received from those mistakes would be detrimental to his TES as well. Of course, it'll be nice if there were some videos to confirm this....

The quad was definitely UR and I had a pang of pain in my heart when I saw the replay (how's that for dramatic?) And I could see judges putting a UR on the 3T in his combo...

Does Miner have a quad? If he doesn't put in a quad or two in his programs quickly, the only place he could hope for domination is just US Nationals.

LOL, I felt a pang of pain in my heart when I read that Daisuke fell on his 4T and I wasn't even watching him skate! But no worries, silver is still up for grabs and I'm sure Daisuke will come back strong like he did at the GPF.

Right evangeline. TES I wouldn't quibble with -- I thought it was PCS.

Sorry, I imagine that you might be turning pea-green if you know that Patrick has the highest PCS of the night (42.22). Dai has the second highest PCS (41.95). The only category in PCS that Dai got higher than Patrick was PE. Patrick's PE was 8.32. Dai's was 8.39.

I'm just wondering: Have you watched their SP performances yet? I haven't. So I can't judge them.
