What a competition...this throws quite the monkey wrench in the ladies event at Worlds this year.
I thought so, esp the 3a. It was still a nice performance, of course. But I can hardly believe Wagner just beat Asada! Wow. Gotta give it to Ashley!

The delay and height Kexin Zhang gets on her lutz...and that's what just caused her to fall on the flip.
I'm so excited for Ashley, but Mao's skating gives me a kind of pure, deep emotion that I don't get from Ashley's skating. Mao's choreography also seemed more detailed and much more difficult >_<

Home court advantage. She got slammed at NHK vs Akiko and Mao and so in the US she gets the inflated marks.
Ugh I hope not. Other than her jumps I find her skating to be very boring.
I'm so glad Caroline got to come to this event. She's done so much to rebuild her national and now international reputation in the course of just the last two competitions. Good job to the final flight, they made it feel like the major competition it is.
Decent performance from Kexin. Too bad about the fall.
Ashley's program has many excellent details, just compare the two spiral sequences and see what the two are doing with their arms.
