LKR, yes Amelie beat Cynthia 3 times, but Nats was not a convincing win, neither was this! Cynthia just changed coached before Christmas. I already see progress; tonight I saw confidence in her, something that we have not seen in a long time. No doubt in my mind that she will nail it at worlds. For the record, was was virtually clean in 2010 at Worlds and she's on her way back to becoming a skater with good international results.

Amelie to me, does not have the complete package and can't sell her program to save her life. I personally can not stand her fs music; it grates on me. There is something lacking in her and I can't out my finger on what it is.

MJK is struggling  I wish she would look for a different coach to help her work on her posture and edges. She's so elegant and expressive...she just needs some polishing on her basic skills.

Amelie's victories might not have been convincing, but Phaneuf's losses certainly were. This isn't about personal opinion. I really don't care about either, frankly, though I think Phaneuf's the stronger skater. This is about basic fairness.

Don't post a lot but the whole high altitude thing is ridiculous. High altitude is essentially a fitness test....if you fail that test thats your own problem. Its an excuse and nothing more.

I really don't think altitude has anything to do with what we are seeing.

Oh no it is. You only have to look at past events held there to know. Plus there's also some sort of ventilation problems it seems.

Amelie had her chance here at 4CC to show SC that she was definitively the one that they should send. She failed. It was a tie. Completely blew it.

Her skate was tentative, she did *not* skate like a champion, she didn't go out there and shut the critics up, she opened the door to even more criticism.

IT WAS NOT A DECISIVE VICTORY BY ANY STRETCH OF THE IMAGINATION. Case closed.

Min Jung kinda reminds me of Sohee from the Wondergirls. At least none of the ladies needed the oxygen tank yet...

Oh, I think I shall reopen that case. Phaneuf didn't skate like a champion. She didn't shut the critics up. She opened the door to even more criticism.

Also, Amelie beat her. Again.

Go, Agnes!!! Caroline! Ashley! Kanako! and Mao!

I think I will always be on Min-Jeong's side because of her joyful performance at the 2010 Olympics, even though I can hardly recognize her now.

Love her costume, apart from the oven mitts (thanks to skfan for pointing those out to me).

I guess I just see it differently. For me, it doesn't matter if the victory was "decisive" or not. A victory is a victory and for me that's the fairest way to judge skaters.

On a different note, FINAL GROUP! I'm rooting for ALL of them to skate well!

They're going to send Amelie. End discussion.

I prefer Cynthia and thinks she was possibly underscored here. But Amelie is ahead and that's all that matters.
