They were cute and had a lot of personality at some points. I think that was a hideous death spiral though.
SUPER pumped for D/R!

After watching Marley & Brubaker's wonderful "Singing in the Rain", everybody else's looks lame, including this pair, unfortunately. :(

Rooting for the divas with Kwanford
2nd China pair is not that strong technically but their program had charm (Singin' in the Rain) and won the audience over from the first moves. It was refreshing. I don't remember seeing a pair skate to this and it worked nicely.
Is there a name for the move where she puts one blade on his instep and lunges forward with the other foot? Looked cool.
ETA: Oh Lord, is this MBM's music? Sheesh.
-
I agree with dorispulaski they attempted to skate with a sweet sophistication and I liked it a lot! I see more potential in them than I did in the first pair.
-
Are Duhamel/Radford the only pair skaters to do solo jumps as difficult as the flip?

Poor D/R. I think she told him sorry when it was over but he is being a good sport. Just a really rough skate for them. Lifts exquisite as always though. I hope they come out strong at Worlds.
-
I loved their speed at the very beginning, but overall just a blah program, but good job.
I would suggest, since they're more of an athletic pair, to use some peppy energetic music to get not only the crowd going but themselves as well.
-
Like subtlety in ice dancing
Why? Why do Canadian pairs love skating to muzak versions of Coldplay songs so much? Where does this sickness come from?

I was hoping Duhamel and Radford could redeem themselves better than this, but I guess every competition can't be good for everyone.
-
Rooting for the divas with Kwanford
In a long shot she looks like a little girl skating with her daddy. I can't get used to their look.
-
She never gave up on the performance and smiled throughout. They did not look in sync to me in some parts. I think that their height difference makes them look awkward skating together at times. I really like this couple and hope they continue to improve; they seem like lovely people.

She would benefit from some different styling, I think--like softer hair, perhaps. He's also so much bigger than she is that it makes it more difficult for them to look like a cohesive team. Nice score, though.
