Today I had my first fall since I started back to skating. Guess what? I lived through it and didn't get freaked out and quit skating. I guess that means my phobia really is gone!
Sometimes I have been really worried that it would all of a sudden come back, the way it came about the first time. I would have quit permanently if I had fallen back before about mid December. But I kept telling myself all that time, that if I could hold out on falling until I felt more comfortable and was starting to get things back, I would be able to deal with it without freaking out.
So, this was a major test and I passed it. I feel SO much better now!
(This was a soft on-the-butt fall. I was doing a toe loop - I either had my leg turned weird instead of straight back, or hit my toe wrong).
