I think Gracie Gold is just using this competition as experience, I mean its the kids first real competition and shes got the pressure of a nation on her shoulders. (US Figure Skating Nation). She is not the most graceful/elegant, however I think that will come with better choreography, music and training. She has focused almost solely on her jumps in training, trying to get the technique down. She is the future of the U.S. skating whether she does well here or not. The fact that she has such strong jumps in her arsenal will push all the other women in the US to up the technical ante. She is a breath of fresh "fearless" air in regards to US skating and hopefully she will mature the way she needs to to win Gold in Sochi.
Aah - I'm hoping Nina Jiang and Polina Edmunds will mature into strong ladies, but you're right about Gracie upping the ante and that's great.

Good morning Nadine. I checked in earlier to see if there was a live feed there was none, so I went to the grocery store and just got back for
the last two groups, good timing.

Seriously, I'm dying to know how everybody has skated thus far with my own two eyes. :sarcasm:

Great score for Polina. Glad the FS went better for her than her SP.

Will she EVER get over her sp problems? Two clean combos in the long but bombing the short. :bang:

but at least Shelepen's meltdown at short she had a clean LP
like Korobeynikova at Euros ?

this is her biggest score in Worlds so far
so will this be enough for her FED to let her replace Makarova
