I want to believe.....:(
I would love that to happen
but we saw how at the last 4CC Competition Takahashi was scored
We also saw how he skated. If he had delivered an NHK SP/LP or a Nationals SP..... well, different story.
^
well No im not talking about his technical skills
I don't think he'll pull the same PCS as Chan if he goes clean

Takahashi was scored according to how he performed. He can certainly do a lot better than he did at 4CC where he missed his big jumps off the top of his LP. While the success rate of his quad is not high but improved, his 3A is usually very well executed and should offer him no problem.
Takahashi knows what he needs to win over Chan and he is striving for a quad in each program to close the BV gap enough so Chan would have no room for error if Takahashi is perfect.
He's already posted higher PCS than Chan in the short program (as has the absent Plushenko) and the long program at NHK. The tendency to believe he won't catch Chan in PCS is more base on personal preference to who should have high PCS, but it's Chan's astonishingly high base value and ability to beat Takahashi in GOEs that give him that edge, moreso than PCS.
It might surprise everyone like Takahashi and Lysacek's SP scores at 2010 Olympics - the "Inman Effect".![]()
Yeah, Lysacek was supposed to be more musical than Takahashi in SP. Figure skating seems to have its own definition of musicality, which is very difficult for outsiders to comprehend. No wonder why the sport/art continues to lose popularity in North America. Not to mention that it's tiring to hear same music over and over again.
More about Japanese skaters.
