This weekend I skated in my first competition, 2012 Skate La Grande in San Diego, CA. I entered the Adult Bronze/Silver Artistic event. There were 4 of us and I placed 1st! I was extremely nervous but my coach was wonderful in calming me down. All the ladies were great and I had a fun time. Now on to the next competition National Show Case in August at my home rink.

I've been skating for 8 years. I skated as a kid but never competed. Now at the ripe old age of 52 I finally got the chance.

In Canada we only have up to Gold Interp...no masters level.
