Ahh well... I liked it, although the red pants are distracting on Fabian. I'm assuming Jagger wore red pants some time?

However that was with a red jacket & a red striped tie.

Well there were definite mistakes so most likely it will grow on me later in the season, 'cause i really like the concept....

Here is a report from French Masters that includes pieces if P/B's SD and an interview.....it begins at 2:40 and again at 5:15....hope there are some french speakers out there who might be able to do some translating....

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKjQyutUPk0

BTW....isn't Weaver/Poje's FD theme basically the same as P/B's Mummy from last season?.....lady comes to life at beginning of program and then returns to original form at the end.....i love the FD but thought it strange since they are both from the same camp....just my thought

Jeepers, not the Mummy! The whole yucky idea of the Mummy, was a man dancing with a corpse. I believe it was choreographed by their own choreographer. too. W/P's dance is a sort of Pygmalion story, which is an old theme, but they've used original moves and music. No 'dancing like an egyptian' to be found.

W&P's program reminds me of the Usova & Zhulin Statues Coming to Life program, a concept which reminds me of an old, old joke about two statues coming to life and a pigeon.

I'm not saying they are similar routines with similar moves and choreography....just the same basic concept....i mean i think in both programs the man and woman begins and ends in the same position as well...or i'm looking for something that isn't there....btw i didn't mind the 'dancing like an egyptian' program....lol.....

Doris, that year lives in my memory, because K/P also looked like statues, although they may have been gods. The unplanned joke was that Canadian TV carried an instant coffee commercial about statues coming down off their pedestals and clumping off to their coffee break, and played it roughly every ten minutes throughout the competition.

Nathalie and Fabian's SD has been posted by them on their FB:

The YP is indeed the French can can, and the "French waltz" is exactly the same chanson, by Yves Montand, Monko and Khaliavin are using "Sur le ciel de Paris":

I browsed the Finlandia thread again and I realized that the SD have not been posted. B/S nd H/D had their short dance posted under other threads, but C/L have not I think (t least I have not seen it before).

Here it is and I have to confess, this is the most fun and best SD of this season IMO. If they will nail it, it will held them up really well:

Thanks, doris for all the updates! I was really curious to know W/P's FD music. I bet that I/K's FD music is from Swayze and Moore's Ghost and have a kinda feeling that it'll nicely match up their Schindler's List FD.
