The Best Exhibition Programs
Shall we have some peaceful threads?
I'll start:
Patrick Chan's Elegy:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ZKX--skJTI
Daisuke Takahashi's The crisis
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvNSdSA22l8
Brian Joubert's Hallelujah:

I will add more when I have time. Hope to see your lists. Thanks!

Michelle Kwan - East of Eden
Mao Asada - Ballade No. 1
Stephane Lambiel - Let the Good Times Roll
-
Off the ice
Anissina/Peizerat's Susanna
Dai's Bachelorette
Yagudin's Overcome
Berezhnaya/Sikharulidze's The Kid
Pechalat/Bourzat's Andy (the expression is classical and elegant
) and George of the Jungle; they have my eternal admiration for wearing those skimpy outfits in freezing Bern, especially Nathalie who had to lie on the ice. Brrrrrr.
Michelle Kwan's Fields of Gold
Not really an EX but I wanted to include Kurt Browning doing Singin' in the Rain for being amazing.
I have included four exhibitions from the 2002 Olys gala - the good old days when nobody had yet heard of Adele.
ETA: oh, and the Kerrs' Exognesis and the EX version of the Scottish OD.

Like subtlety in ice dancing
As a big fan of exhibition numbers, there are too many for me to list! In fact, I've been putting off making a thread reviewing all the exhibition skates I liked from this season because it'd be a huge amount of writing...

I have two to add at the moment. I can't tell you the names of the music used in these exhibitions even though I've heard them many, many times
Yuka Sato - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60wCbGpHMRI
Ilia Klimkin - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhItf...ure=plpp_video I love how simple yet effective his spins are. And of course, his cantilever!
-
Gotta Have Music
Michelle's East of Eden, Dante's prayer
Todd's Il Mare Calmo del la Sera, The Glory
Viktor Petrenko's Mambo #5
Paul Wylie's JFK, Apollo 13, Schindlers' List
Brian Orser - The Story of My Life
-
THIS IS A GREAT THREAD!
Has anyone mentioned Mao Asada's "Por una cabeza" tango program? The footwork sequence alone could regulate your heartbeat and make the sun come out during a rainstorm.

And speaking of rain, I absolutely agree with Buttercup that Kurt's "Singin' in the Rain" has to be included here, even though it was made for a TV program and not as an exhibition skate. I like to think of it as kind of the gala exhibition ending for the TV show, because it was presented last. It truly can't be topped, and I don't think any other skater could have carried it off.

Akiko Suzuki's Libertango, choreographed by Kenji Miyamoto
http://youtu.be/pwnoAOuPQHI
This is the best tango program by a lady to me.
-
Simply the best.
Yuna Kim's Meditation de Thais http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7MiDoHzajk This one is so exquisite that you can have no doubt about her being the champion on ice.
Shae-Lynn Bourne's Caruso http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fmvmh_UJOrA She's the only lady skater who can lead audience in awe without any jumps or big tricks.
Illia Kulik's Liebestraume http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qnfn1LBVB-A Without mentioning a humongous triple axel led after spread eagle, this should be the role performance of how a male skater skates. Elegance and unstoppable flow carried with POWER.
Awesome thread btw

great thread!! I love so many of the exhibitions already mentioned that i wouldn't know which one to choose as my favorite. so, just adding to the list - i love so many of Buttle's exhibitions (and his LPs, and sps...ok, just love his programs and skating
, but I'll add his Ave Maria ex as one of my favorites - I seem to remember that he had a very clean version of it, but unfortunately can't remember at which comp. His Canadian nationals version wasn't my favorite...but various versions are on youtube if you want to look.

Shae Lynn Bourne, and a chair.
She did this program in Stars on Ice shortly after Victor retired and my first thought was "She's replaced Victor with a CHAIR, and it works!". Very clever.

That spread eagle into a triple axel was insane. Illia Kulik's best years were still ahead of him to bad he retired from competition after Nagao he would have gone down as maybe the best ever. He hadn't even peaked as a skater.
