Hurrah for the CBC

CTV may have fallen down on the job with Canada's great tradition of superb figure skating coverage, but the CBC has picked up the ball and is running with it. I just watched the CBC's coverage of the GP final with Barb Underhill and Paul Martini commentating. It was refreshing to get their take on it. CBC will continue to cover the rest of the season's skating competitions. Yea! Wonderful to have Barb and Paul as commentators too.

I was also very pleased with the CBC. I could have done without the various fluff pieces that were shown on both days, but the coverage was quite good.

I enjoy the fact that Barb and Paul aren't afraid to point out the weaknesses of Canadian skaters. I found CTV to have too much Canadian bias. I'm looking forward to future coverage.

Thanks for replying! Yes, I think Barb and Paul bring real class to their coverage. I always used to like CTV coverage, but the CBC will be a refreshing change.
