This show was aired two days ago on TV Asahi's news and sports communication satellite channel, CS Channel 2. The broadcaster aired the 06/07 evening show, but cut certain parts out due to the time constraint (about 2-hr worth of the whole show which was supposed to run for 2.5-3 hours?). I had a really great time watching this, not only because of the amazing line-up but also the production and entertainment value which is at least better, if not on another level from the other Japanese ice shows I've watched so far, as can be judged from the quality of the costumes, choreography, music choice for the opening and finale numbers (which can probably be attributed to Wilson's involvement) and of course, the amazing and powerful live singing from the guest artist.
Aside from my obvious favorite (Yuzuru), the highlights of the show for me are Stephane's 'Run' (my favorite show number of his this year) and Akiko's programs. Akiko's simply mesmerizing and her commitment to the music is just indescribable. The flourishes here and there that don't look intentionally synchronized to the music but come from within herself as if she was producing the music itself, are totally stupefying. I've been watching her programs non-stop for a while now. Stephane is amazing, as always. Not to mention he also landed a quad toe during the collab :jaw: Even though he took a long approach before executing the jump, it's really remarkable that he's still going for it.

Stars On Ice. By joining their fan club, I was able to attend a Meet-And-Greet, where I was able to meet Kurt and Jeffrey this year, and Joannie, Jeremy and Shawn last year. Both times, I had a t-shirt made up for the occasion. Last year, it was a black sillouhette of the map of Alberta, a love symbol, and a picture of Joannie. When she saw it, she said "Ooh, I like the t-shirt!". Got my picture taken with her, a good momento. This year, it was a beautiful studio shot of her, captioned "got rochette?". Kurt's response was "Oh, can I take a picture of that? Gotta show it to Joannie."

That photo is a wonderful memento, John! I'm so jealous of Canadians, who have a far more active Stars on Ice circuit. Skaters always sound so friendly and approachable. I'm sure they're happy to know that they have such dedicated fans, who support their competitive and pro careers. Longtime skaters such as Kurt have fans who have followed them for a quarter of a century.

Some reports say that the men just wore one skate for their group number and a regular shoe on the other foot - Jeff sure has some nice ideas

Have there been any reports about Narumi Takahashi and her new partner; I believe they performed in the ice show? (Still sad about her breakup with Mervin Tran :()
