I didn't get much sleep last night, so maybe I'm hallucinating......

How come NHK has both Hanyu and Takahashi (#3 and #2 seeds) when both are doing only two events? And TEB has both Joubert and Amodio (#4 and #5 seeds)?

Interesting that Weir got 2 GPs....well, he does sell tickets, especially at CoR in Russia. Not surprised the host federations would want to invite him.

Skate America has left one of its host pick spots empty for the time being. Saving it for Lysacek if he actually comes back? Ditto for CoR and its one empty host pick spot. I guess that one's left for Plushenko if he decides to return to the GP too.

CoC has three world champions on its roster: Ando, Asada, Kostner, as well as the reigning Junior World Champion Lipnitskaia. The Chinese audience is up for a treat this fall. The TEB field is also quite deep for the ladies: Kostner, Ando, Lipnitskaya, Tuktamysheva, Wagner.

I'm a bit sad that Nagasu, Czisny and Korpi only get 1 GP each, though it's not entirely surprising.

It is very strange, because it appears that the rules regarding the top seeds are followed in every other discipline aside from the men!

I think the Japan Federation has taken them as host, so none complained

The entry lists are pretty terrible honestly. Far too many underwhelming skaters given 1 or 2 assignments, far too many really talented skaters getting only 1 assignment or staying junior. Shocked Han Yan is staying junior....

He will probably stay in Europe so he has not to travel in between and adjust to different times

Maybe he really, really wants that JGPF gold

Well....CoC has one of their host pick spots empty, so Han Yan could potentially get 1GP if he changes his mind.

It's not up to him!

I bet he will stay in jr until he age out. That's how the Chineses federation's mind working:confused2:

and Amazing Daisuke!!!! who I would love more than anyone to see him live again!

Such a shame that I will not be in Asia anymore at that time

I can't wait for this one... I have a feeling it would be the scene changer, Lipinskaya show off all the old ladies of the club: Rumble in China!! :p

By the way, I read there's a new ISU rule change, that athletes who took year(s) off and intend to come back are now required to sign an agreement that they are obliged to participate in GPS unless unforeseeable incidents happen.

Does the fact Yuna is not listed on any of the GP assignment indicate she won't able to qualify for WC even if she change her mind later and want to participate?

-------

And how come all the US ladies Mirai, Alissa, Rachel only got 1 spot?

I suppose there were deals made between federations.
The French federation might have made some deal with the Japanese federation so TEB has both #4 and #5 from the Worlds and NHK has both #2 and #3. This means that NHK doesn’t get anyone from #4, #5, and #6 while TEB doesn't get anyone from the top three. I guess the French wants two French skaters instead of one French skater + one top-three skater.
