Why must this always happen to them? It's like bad luck actually follows them around. Score seems low again, even for a fall, so it must have been a really bad one. The rest of their season had better be incident free...no one deserves a good one more than them. Keep your heads up, kids!!

Paul/Islam assured everyone they are ok over twitter. Thank goodness! Must have taken one heck of a spill.

If anybody was itching for short dance video, Holly Moore and Daniel Klaber (US Novice champs) uploaded their Grease program

Thanks so much for this realdetective! Welcome to Golden Skate! We hope you post long and often.

And we love links. It's just that a link in your first post wakes the sleeping monster that is our spam prevention software. Our apologies.

LPIDC surely can meet the requirement for entries for an international ISU event. Skaters are from (at the very least here)

    GBR
    CAN
    USA
    ITA
    JPN
    ESP

    and possibly more

Did anybody know what happened with the senior group B, almost every team got 1-4 points deduction? Did these two groups have the same judge panel and tech. specialists? It seems to be different pattern of scoring.

That I don't know, but it makes sense that there might be at least 2 or more different judge panels since they have dance events going from morning to night at LPIDC.

BTW, any complaints about Madison Chock's costumes should be addressed to the lady herself. Her bio on IN says:

    Costume designed by Madison Chock

If you go to the Lake Placid website, You'll see the judging panel for each group listed under the marks. It appears that each group had it's own panel, and different panels for the short and free dances.

We know that Paul and Islam got two deductions, and they both fell. As for the rest I guess we have to wait for them to 'fess up.

Don't Paul and Islam look splendid? I think it's the most flattering dress she's ever worn. What was their music ? Anyone?

I'll venture to guess that Madison Chock designed her own costume again.

sorry had internet trouble so couldn't respond. dorispulaski - you were asking for reports, I see that ice-dance.com has a few up so will let you read about it there. Some notable things that I noticed. Aldridge/Eaton had to abort a lift, but luckily for them many in their flight had troubles as well so helped them to stay on the podium (falls). There was a Novice team that skated to music from "Hair" I believe for their starlight waltz and they were dressed like hippies. Don't gasp too soon, it worked for them. I love first competitions of the season.
