I am sure there'd be even MORE gossip if Evan moved into the house of a male fashion designer in the middle of a divorce.

I read today that Evan was her escort to a big celebrity wedding. Was that in the news link?

It seems to me they enjoy each other's companionship as friends, and there's truly nothing more. Evan is famous enough that if he wanted a young, pretty girlfriend he could easily have one (and we all know that's what straight men want). For Vera, I'm sure it's nice to have a handsome young man around so she doesn't feel like an empty nester. For Evan, this arrangement does keep his name in the news and I think it's important for his marketability. But I think he really does cherish their friendship and isn't trying to use her in any way.
