Interesting, Janetfan. That answers a question I had earlier. thanks. So it really would make him more marketable to try for Sochi. I stand corrected.

I realize that a skater has one disadvantage that many other athletes don't have. Skaters don't wear a kind of shoe that could be marketed to the general public. No Nike contract!

Additional thoughts: Evan has done modeling and can be very suave in photos. Remember the glamorous perfume ads we envisioned for Meryl Davis and Charlie White? Evan could do one of those, too.

Wouldn't that be nice.

That really stuck in my mind. Meryl and Charlie in their Fledermaus costumes skating through a changing winter landscape. :love: We should send the script to renowned director and cinematographer Alex Shibutani and see if he wants to shoot it.

(Oh wait. He would want to star in it. :) )

Dorothy not only did more TV commercials than any of the American skaters but also starred in her own Prime Time network specials.

On top of that the show "Sports Century" featured Dorothy on one of it's episodes.

It's interesting if you haven't seen it (and believe it or not there is a commercial that features Michelle as part of the show).:)

I think there is also a "Sports Century" show on Michelle but I've never seen it.

I forgot a lot of the details except that they both were basically low in the top 10. It was a while since I had seen their performances and was going by old impression. I remembered more of Eldredges messed up SP more. Could be a foreshadow of 2014! Both Stojko and Eldredge said the exact same things in 96 that was said in 2010 by others.
