Don't want good future posts re Salt Lake City Senior B to get "lost" in this "Next Competition" thread , so will add my friendly "two-cents" reminder that Doris had started a thread for SLC in the forum for "Other International Events." :)
http://www.goldenskate.com/forum/sh...-City-Senior-B-(Int-l-Figure-Skating-Classic)

Thanks, everyone -- and three cheers for Doris for this innovative Next Competition thread, as well as for her many others.

I don't know why this schedule is not more widely available. No word yet on who is skating in the challenge cup. Currently, the plan is for this event to be in Salt Lake each year. Steiner (the local name for the rink) has 2 ice surfaces. One has enough room for about 500 people. The other has only a few benches on top. It is possible to be in one rink and look through the glass to the other. It's a good set-up for this kind of event.

For those coming - Saturday is a BIG local college football game. The stadium is only about a block away from Steiner. The parking area for the rink will probably be full of football goers. I strongly suggest if you are driving to come early and get a parking space. The whole area will be a zoo by early afternoon.

As of today - one week before the official practice day - Salt Lake Figure Skating's Facebook page indicates that the club still is begging and begging its members to volunteer to help during the competition.

I realize that this competition is new, but the subtext seems to be that the rank-and-file club members are underwhelmed by the opportunity to participate in a senior international event. :eek:hwell:

Given where it falls in the list of events for that day, I'd say it's a typo.

LOL, had not noticed that.
The previous version of the official schedule had Senior FD at 11:30 am ... so seems that the authorities responsible for publishing the latest revision forgot to change a.m. to p.m. when changing the time to 12:40.
