Wow! This guy is unbelievable. I saw Shawn in a skating special on the French channel the other night - I don't normally watch the French channel! However, when I saw that it was a Xmas skating special recently done in Toronto, I had to watch. Shawn Sawyer is simply amazing! He looked like he was going into a Camel spin, but instead brought his leg straight up beside him. Watch out Plushenko! Amazing! Such flexiblity. I am really looking forward to seeing Shawn in the Canadians. What a battle there is going to be in the men's field.

I totally forgot Shawn's going to be in that holiday special. I think the American tv showed it. Oh well. But I saw enough of his pics to be amazed. Thanks for those two, Lad. Hopefully I'll see him in the near future.

Yeah he looks like he could be interesting to watch based only on the few pictures I've seen of him on the internet.

Shawn has been on the "horizon" for a couple of years at least... I remember all of the hype after his first appearance on Holiday Festival on Ice I think 3 years ago... I have his performances from his first two on tape. My best friend was supposed to record this years but, yeah, that fell through

I love that picture of Shawn! There was a thread on this on FSU where someone said this was actually a spin, though, which makes sense. His leg is clearly in a 'second' position, not an arabesque (but he's still got killer flexibility!!!)
