Wow, yes, and the video makes clear what the protocols alone did not. Never occurred to me that the -1 for the fall would have been on a non-listed element. He's going to look at this video and give himself a Duh! Headslap for that near face-plant! I do love that split jump, though! I see Rory Flack-Burghardt in there somewhere! He's got some nice jump and spin elements, but still has a lot of room to improve on the interstitial elements, arm movements, and general PCS side. Not sure what he needs at this point--More dance and off-ice? Try a different choreographer? Spend time with Jeremy Abbott? And not to nit-pick, but I find his hair distracting in a 1970's sort of way.

he needs a new choreographer, been saying that for years... as for off ice dance - it wouldn't hurt.

Wow I wasn't paying attention to this competition, but coming to this thread now I find a lot to be discovered!
It's time to get excited about Kaetlyn Osmond!!! Awesome score! It would be great for Canada, having Worlds their this year, to have a new rising star. Not likely a medal contender this year, but still; if she skates like that at Worlds, she'd definitely be in the mix for top ten, right?
Oda is back! Well, he often has good performances early in the season, but I still feel he deserves a world medal!! Could this season be the time for him?

A little sad to see Bezina and Verner low in the rankings :s They've both been struggling for several seasons now... Will either or both recover in time for Europeans and Worlds this year?

Free Dance videos are beginning to be put up

The choreography is Igor's solely. I love it. It's a great program! The lifts are amazing, the story is coherent, but Madison needs help with the costumes.

This is what we've been waiting for since Vancouver. Finally this season these new kids will make Ladies skating much more interesting. It won't just be the same old skaters we've been watching since about 2004-05. Usually at this point just a year before the Olympics the new girls have established themselves but it took longer this cycle. Mao and Kim skated at Words just a year after Torino Olympics to set themselves up for Vancouver but with Adelina Tuk and Gracie they will most likely make their debut at Worlds just a year before Sochi. Now with the Russian girls Gracie and now Kaetlyn it will be much less predictable then the last few years have been.

I agree about the SD costumes for both of them. Hers is too frilly and Evan needs to lose the fake lapel sequin thing he has going on. As for the FD, I thought Madison was dressed in a near replica of Marina K.'s FD dress from 1984.

I really enjoyed Haruka Imai's skate. The three underrotation calls on her lutz and two salchows were pretty close -- she (almost) landed 7 triples!

May I ask, who are the"we", you are talking about? I am personally not too impressed so far, by any of the ladies, not in consistency nor artistry.

awwwww Doris beat me to it, I should've shared Keegan's SP last night when I came across it! I like his SP way more than his FP.... kinda reminds me of Scott Hamilton's "In The Mood" program(s).
