Possibly Kosigina & Moroshkin. They looked really good the season before last, but last season, not so much. I don't know what the problem was, though=-you'd have to check in Russian language sites to know, I expect.

On paper A&E should do well, but the facts are at least in the SD that until everyone understands the Blues pattern dance judging for the season, there will be surprises.

Like DorisPulaski said it really depends on Kosigina and Moroshkin. They stood on the Junior Worlds podium in 2011 and didn't even make the team in 2012 so they could go either way. Aldridge and Eaton were also well known for their Lord of the Dance program and will have to live up to those expectations. But they should still probably win here.

Yes, both SD & FD are new for K&M
Kosigina & Moroshkin report they are skating to

SD Blues and Swing: Lord of the Dance - Capone by Ronan Hardiman
FD Michael Jackson Medley

Obviously the SD is different from last year, which was Latin
Last year they skated to Walpurgisnacht for the FD, so Michael Jackson is a big change

what happened to A/E their score is soo low :disapp:

good score for K/M , the makeover with IGOR  was a huge help
Kosigina dyed her hair red, is she trying to emulate Jana Khoklova or what ?

not that good and maybe I just dislike the music
a bit messy, for Aldridge something is wrong, is it just the dress or did she gain a few pounds ?
At russian forums they write that she is as usual (not miniature), dress makes her visually more fat.
This dress is not good for her.

Lol Kosigina and Moroshkin have the same SD lift that Riazanova and Tkachenko had
They really need to work on their toe point though.

From the protocols, A&E got slammed by the tech panel on the Blues pattern dance, getting credit for only 1 of 6 key points.

K&M got credit for all 6.

And that is nearly the whole difference in the scores between the 2 teams.

It surprises me, as Krylova's school has generally been in the forefront of getting the pattern dances right, that they missed 5

For those wondering:

Sequence with Step # 1 on the Judges’ opposite side (BL2) Key Point 1 Lady & Man Steps 5-7 (Right Back Outside, Left Front Outside , Cross Roll-Right Front Outside -Swing Roll)
1. Correct Edges

Key Point 2 Lady Steps 12 & 13 (Left Front Inside Edge Closed Choctaw, Right Back Outside Edge)
1. Correct Edges
2. Correct Turn
3. Closed Choctaw: correct placement of the free foot

Key Point 3 Man Steps 12 & 13 (Left Front Inside edge Closed Choctaw, Right Back Outside Edge)
1. Correct Edges
2. Correct Turn
3. Closed Choctaw: correct placement of the free foot

BL1 is the same but on the other side of the rink.
