Qualifying system to Cup of Russia Events.

Moscow has places enough for all who has a real chance to qualify to Senior and Junior Nationals, so no qualifying events.

St.Patersburg sends to Cup of Russia I and II by results of previous season, III to V - skaters who qualified at Cup of St.Petersburg I to III, also events of Cup of St.Petersburg are used to have enough competitions in St.Petersburg (Moscow has enough local competitions - open competitions of sport schools and so).

Other regions have their qualifying competitions for Cup of Russia.

Moscow Open Championships

04 and 05 Sept - Junior Ladies and Junior Pairs.
35 Ladies (24 qualified to FS) and 8 Pairs.
Ladies 1996-2002 year of birth. 1st place 1999, 2nd 1998, 3rd 2000.
Valeria Evseeva (13 Mar 2002) - 12th place, score 130.43, landed 3Lz+2T. Very good for 10-years girl.
35th had score 30,12 for SP, 24th 100,47 for SP+FS.
Not so bad, if compare to JGP events.

Today and tomorrow - Junior Men and (Novice, Junior) Ice Dance.

We don't know FS score, we did not see videos, so it is too early to make conclusions.

Serafima Sakhanovich is 12 years old (in Russia in senior competition may take place persons of age not less than 12) and good enough.
Elena Vodorezova at 12 competed at Euro, Worlds and Olympics.

St. Petersburg Test Skates for Pars:

translation:

Bazarov, Larionov by "Dreams of Love" Mao and Adele :) vis:).
Partner in good shape, faith is weak and barely goes jumping. All their fishechki - perfectly. Backspin and release, as always on top.

Kawaguchi-Smirnov rolled same "Cats." It turned out, in principle, well, soft and even jazz. Yuka quite a kitten.
And because it always catches up with Sasha, he has a little cat feet look like he wolf. Form a good, easy going, jumped what they wanted.

Stolbova-Klimova seemed slow, but thankfully not severe. " Triple twist" is quite light and agile, Fyodor catches well. With emissions fell, only to jump spread. "Interview with the Vampire," reads well on the track, but the partner is going badly, of course. Interesting support from biting into the neck (not quite figured out how to, I hope that does not trash) and the final position is very unusual, partner upside down, with the partner hands raised up. In general, matured,
Stolbova lost weight.

Martyusheva-Rogonov. Something hard and dramatic in a very Russian style with Rachmaninoff piano. As always, pure classic.
A very active partner and sandwiched partner. Output and twisting fine. They go very well,
but again feeble girl jumped on the track completely clamped, stumbled and fell because of this partner.
After rolling went on the ice as penalty.

I don't think she's ready to compete yet, so she was replaced. She can still compete at the last JGP, and is an alternate for JGP Turkey next week.

1. Not "arbitrary" - Free Skating.

2. From Kovtun's Twitter - skated very bad, now with someone goes (Vodorezova or Tarasova I think), very much abuse.

In Turkey main entries are Titushkina (3 place Courchevel, good enough test skating, so she will skate) and Shershak (nobody knows how is she at this season).
In Substitute Entries are Pogorilaya and Zaseeva, with better skating at Moscow Open than Agafonova at test skating.
So it is not probable for Agafonova to have this event.

No but she still can skate at the last event which is better than nothing.
