I think so too!

Not that Karen, Peter, or Michelle's decisions need to be explained but, Karen is indeed pregnant(conformation in the Kerrigan article) and maybe they wanted to get married right away so that they'd be married by the
time she had their child.

They did what was right for them
and did it rightfully so.
