    NHLers booted off ice so girl can figure skate

    Figuring skating coach stops NHL scrimmage game for "pre-paid" ice for student.

    They way I heard it, the figure skating coach came out and body-checked the hockey guys into the third row.

    The MN Wild sometimes practices at one of my usual rinks. We can tell when they are there....the whole parking lot is full of expensive cars; also the press is there, so it's hard to find a parking space.

    The bonus is that the whole rink staff is watching them, so you might get to skate for free (no one minding the store!). It is kinda fun to see them go through their drills. They are amazing skaters.

    Ah but can they do a spread eagle into a triple axel while wearing spandex and sequins???? That is the question.
