Notes I took while watching this:

Alexandra Aldridge & Daniel Eaton USA
Fiddler on the Roof soundtrack projected a folk dance feeling.
Really speedy. They carried huge speed throughout the program, perhaps too much.
Alexandra caught an edge in the middle of the twizzles; it caused a huge disruption in the program as she had to catch up with Daniel , and lost them two levels on the element.
They earned a level 3 on both their diagonal & circular step sequence, a function of the depth and correctness of their edges. There was not a single level 3 step sequence in the entire short dance so to earn two in one program is impressive!
So Still a good score all things considered.


Anna Yanovskaya & Sergey Mozgov RUS
Middle Eastern themed number to Maktab:El Clon & Ya Habibi Yalla by Ishtar & the Gypsy Kings
This was a very open dance with a lot of crossovers
The 2nd lift (Curved Lift) was graded only a level 1 and earned negative GOE
Definite stumble in the step sequence by Sergey; probably lost them a level. ( it was level 2)
Other lifts had many transitions, but those transition are not smooth yet.
Finall lift was wonderful. The choreographic lift with a bit of scoring seems to be a good idea!

She's in white gloves, and a bun. They start skipping.

nice lift with lots of changes of position
spin the last bit is sort of a fail
nice leg line
jump into twizzles lost unison by a lot had to hurry to catch up, but still got the level 4
typical curve lift outside spread eagle by Marc Andre into a nice rotational lift
quick dip back by her
steps really good speed in the step diagonal nice edges too
Lift with air walking which I detest (didn't like it when Natalia Bestemianova did it
They rub noses and stand American Gothic to end

Sofia Evdokimova & Egor Bazin RUS
Gangs of New York soundtrack by Howard Shore
The fog is back
They are clearly two gang members
Hurtado Diaz layback cantilever lift (still too cool!)
Twizzles not in synch
Sofia slides through Igor's legs
irish feel to music (apparently the Gangs of NYC are Irish gangs?)
with drums
footwork followed by stationary step dancing in place
Music stops!! why?

He bled in Bled? Cut his hand?

!!Really good Choreographic stationary lift at the end.

FD Me Voy by Jasmin Levy; Flamenco
Good flamenco fire first minute.
Lovely lift on a back outside edge for Viktor, but they had a little glitch getting out of the lift.
Lots of minor trips in 2nd & 3rd sets of twizzles

rotational lift kind of slipped and lost height at the end of it
They blew the last lift-I hope it was choreographic.
