ORIGINAL POST - OCTOBER 2012 by Mrs. P

It's clear from the U.S. Ladies thread that Mirai has a lot of loyal fans. And she should. When she's on, she can be magical. Regardless of the result, she's worthy of a fan thread.

Hoping we'll see a great 2012-2013 season from her.

I like Mirai's skating, and her energy, quickness, and playfulness. But I'm not her uber loyal fan. If this thread posters accept me, I might come here again sometimes later. If not, I'll certainly never come again like some other fan thread.;)

Thanks Mrs. P. for starting a Mirai thread. I have always been a fan of her skating. The past couple of seasons she
had some difficulties. Let's hope with the coaching change that we will see a renewed Mira and her beautiful skating again.

Bluebonnet you wouldn't be talking about my main man Dai's thread, now would ya? :p

I fell in love with Mirai at the Olympics, and I've been waiting ever since for her to become a major international threat, but it hasn't happened yet. Hopefully this will be her season. Good luck, Mirai!

Great article. Sounds like Mirai is in a good place...fingers crossed that she delivers at Nationals. I wouldn't be sorry to see her on the Worlds team.

It's such a pity that she squandered her momentum from the 2010 Olympics and really did not take advantage of the poor overall level of ladies skating these past few years to win a few titles.

Your hard work and efforts might not have fully rewarded as you wished this time, but don't feel too disappointed. You've got to believe your hard work and efforts right now will be fully rewarded in the very near future.

Mirai, please don't forget that you have lots of fans who are rooting for you.
Please rest well, then, on your feet again and go for your next goal!" :party2:

We didn't have a separate Champs Camp thread this year, and this photo is just one of the many good ones floating around out there.
This presumably spontaneous group (off ice): Zhang, Nagasu, Rippon, Aaron, Gao, Zawadzki, M. Shibutani, Miner, Dornbush.
Love all the attractive faces and the range of expressions.

Wishing the best for Nagasu and and her friends this season.

I am so impressed of her, she was SO strong at Olympics being just 16 years of age... she had ups and downs afterwards, but I hope she is on for the new Olympics because she would deserve it. She is sweet, energetic... looking forward for this season!

I already saw her new LP - James Bond, I loved it! And got kinda annoyed as some people started saying she is copying Yuna

I so wish that she would choose music which totally reflects her fun loving puckish personality. She would truly shine if she skated with joy.
