There have been many articles that claimed Mao earned this and that much, but no one knows which one is true. I don't know who to trust but one thing is for sure the JSF seems to get a big share, a WAY too big share if you ask me. what I find mindbobling is that Mao may earn 10 times as much as now if she decides to retire, that means that as an retired skater she will be much much wealthier then as a top athlete? now that is really puzzling to think about.

Agree. Please you guys remembered how some people complained about the JSF been so powerful... Well if they were powerful how come Mao never got the PCS she deserved. And how about the random underotation calls she got at worlds. The JSf does not deserve Mao and frankly skating does not deserve her either.

I am sorry guys, I will love to see my girl back, but only if she gets score fairly.

It's funny another poster and I at Mao Asada Forum call her our girl.

Here is a great HD copy of Mao's SP at Worlds 2008

Here is what I think is Mao's best performance of Mary Poppins at 4CC's 2013 in HD:

yas yas yas I will never forget that Mao was the no.1 most tweeted in Sochi Olympics. Not even Yuna made it on the top 5. (That's as far as i know.)

As one of Mao fans, I was proud of hear that Mao was the most tweeted athlete in Sochi and she deserved it though it’s not a competition
Also at the moment, in Japan she is the most loved female athlete for sure. but despite there are tons of her fans here Japan,
not so many members in this thread most likely due to language barrier orz orz ..... How huge language barrier is :disapp:

I just found this video of Maria Sotskova saying how Mao was her favorite skater after visiting Maria's fan thread. I knew there must be some reason why I liked Maria's skating so much. She is using Mao as one of her main models for skating, though she still has her own beautiful style. Thanks to Mao for inspiring the new generation!

omg i'm starting to love Maria now!!!! I wish I understand the words in the video though. But Mao Asada in her career had been surrounded and anchored by diverse cultures like a Russian coach, a canadian choreographer etc..but despite her scope and influence as an athlete an artist and an icon in figure skating the STATURE that she has, she still remains very down to earth and i think that;s what's really most inspiring about Mao.
