Question Need help from shoe shopping Experts!

So I found a shoe for my bff's wedding that I am in love with. She wants her bridesmaids to have red shoes (the dresses are apple red) and I found one that would be perfect... problem is they are one of the top 10 shoes for bridesmaids (who knew!) and I can't find my size in red anywhere locally or by a google search...

there's gotta be something I don't know about though, right? My bff is going to look tomorrow at teh shoe store chain that I found them at up here (famoous footwear) down in her area (Montana), but I'm worried she'll be out of luck...

    Any ideas?

This is the shoe I'm looking for: http://www.famousfootwear.com/en-US/...ns+Fencel.aspx

Maybe Toni you can look at some major bridal boutique nationally that sells the dyed shoes and get a simple pump and have it dyed. It seems someone must still be selling those-it may not be a shoe you love but as long as it matches the dress-think how often you'll wear them again. Prolly not much, as they are very dressy and well, so RED!

ETA-they are pretty and classic but you'll likely be barefoot at the reception when the dancing starts and not many will be looking at your feet, even the brides shoes will be covered up, I assume. It is the dress and the hair styles, not the feet people will look at. Nice shoe though for 25 bucks-such a deal Oi.

we'll be in red flip flops at the reception. My feet are so weirdly shaped that this shoe fit perfectly - except the color I need it was too big! And I'd find a way to wear them again...

actually if I can't find it in my size in red I still plan on getting it in black... it's that great a shoe!

Shoes are something I'm out of the discussion on. I wear a size 10 and have weirdly shaped feet. I always wear flats. But I will weigh in to say that those shoes look splendid! I hope you find them somewhere. My role in this quest will be to keep fingers crossed for a good outcome!

Toni, that style is available in Ivory in 9.5 here:
    http://www.shoecarnival.com/shoe/SCV...9/scvl90017cat

So then you could get the Ivory shoes dyed red?

Disclaimer: I found this site via Google -- cannot vouch for it.

BTW, Shoe Carnival also offers the shoes in "Plum Royal." I love purple, so if it were me (and if I did not want to deal with dyeing), I might choose the Plum over black, both to wear with the red dress and for future occasions.

Good luck, and congratulations to your bff.

    ETA:
Zappos has a very similar style -- available in Red in 9.5. But more expensive.

And/or you could try contacting the manufacturer?
How do I find a particular pair of Nina shoes that I've seen in an ad or magazine?
