Ice Network has an announcement up about free streaming Saturday, Oct. 20th only, for registered (unsubscribed) users. So this may be one way to see some of Skate America.

No, I am afraid. Russian channels that used to be so widely available on free online streams finally remembered about their property rights and shut down free sites that used to stream their channels. You either have to pay or hope that some re-broadcaster will show the stuff, but there is not guarantee that they will: http://livetv.ru/en/allupcomingsports/18/ or hahasport, sportlemon, etc.
You can sign up for a pay channel http://tvteka.com (10$ a month, not a big deal) but the first three days are free, automatically after registration. Then go to http://tvteka.tv/live/sport2 They show all SA stuff live, archive is also available if you miss smth.

That $10/month is if you buy a year at a time. If you buy it on a monthly basis, it is a bit more. So, for the best value, you should cough up the $120 and buy a year at a time.

Ice network is streaming Skate America live. On Saturday only, IT WILL BE FREE! You do have to register, but that does not cost anything. Look at their website for more information. Of course this is not the whole event, but at least it is a good portion of it.

Will it be avaible for registered users outside USA (I'm in Denmark) ?

I think the issue with streams of Russian channels getting streams shut down is not such much "property rights", as not wanting to be pursued by American prosecutors. Technically, if they knowingly allow the streams, and do nothing about them, they can get into trouble for violating broadcast rights in America. Some sites are doing what they can now to avoid overzealous American prosecutors.

One subscription site in Ireland shut down, becuase they were afraid of a mega upload style takedown. One of the channels they had was the eastern NBC feed, which let me watch Nationals live. I do find it dissappointing that I will no longer be able to watch US Nationals online, since this one service in Ireland went away. Operation "in our sites" has a lot of sites running scared. For 25 Euros a month, I got all the popular cable channels, plus all 5 major US movie channels, way less than what Comcast would charge for the same level of service. Towards the end, they even had Universal Sports.

I wonder if there will be anywhere to watch US Nationals online now that this one Ireland-based service, that carried NBC's eastern feed, has gone away. Given that Universal seems to have all the online broadcasting rights for skating in the USA, I am not very hopeful that anyone will have any online broadcast of Nationals that does not require you to be in Dish/DirecTV.

Last time I paid for a 3-month package and they charged 30$. I think if you pay for a 1-month only stuff, it will 12$. Not a great difference.

On their site not the US are all in Blackout Restrictions.

Btw, just in case Keyhole is free with J-Asahi channel that broadcasts boys and girls only. The quality is crappy, sometmes messes up with people's computers. Never downloaded it myself, have no idea.

It seems to me that Finnish TV yle.fi/areena will be streaming the event live. Unfortunately to be viewed only in Finland. Our TV will show something only from ladies and dance competitions.

just did some googeling and looks like this stream could work!! (russian TV)
http://livetv.ru/en/allupcomingsports/18/#

if so we will be able to see everything :)

PS: I will also update my website (http://www.krasobru.4fan.com) in case of new streaming links!

I hope this site will work. I am concerned because the schedule posted doesn't seem right. For the first day, for example, Oct. 20 at 3.00 is the first broadcasting and that in Mosow is past already, Seattle 7PM is the actual start and that will be only 6.00AM Oct.20 Moscow, so they posted a 3 hour earlier on the site for the start?

Has anyone tried the link posted by Cocovica yet? I just clicked on it and it wanted to install a lot of software with it. Different search engines and so forth. So I'm wondering if it is reasonable safe or if it has caused anyone any computer problems?

I clicked on the link and it says "Live streams will be available approximately 30 minutes before the broadcast's start." No signs of a video for me. Am I looked in the wrong place?

It says "download", but I think that's just an ad. I'm still waiting for a real link to pop up on the site (I can watch the live streams of other sports), but no luck so far.

It asks to install a software, that could be harmful, if not a safe site
