Anyway it seems things are going well with his show and I'm really happy for him. I've seen some great pictures of it. It would be great if it could go international. Japan would be really happy if he brought it here. --Or is already planning on doing that?

The way I read it was that Hanyu= Mercedes and probably Kovtun = Volvo? I dunno, just my guess.

Probably Adelia. That was my thought, too. :biggrin:

I think the Snow King show will be presented in Japan, China, N-Korea, Europe, and Yana said she is negotiating about the US and Canadian presentation. According to the interview because of the sanctions it is difficult to solve.

I wonder if the cast will remain the same or change during the tour. I doubt some of the skaters would travel to North Korea for example.

Probably will change sometimes. I don't know who will travel in N-Korea. But many French, Russian, finnish( Lepistö) skaters were in N-K. I'm not happy because they will perform there... (((

That's great! I can't imagine any list like that in the US with all figure skaters as the top 3. Even one would be a shock (except for maybe back in Michelle Kwan's time).

I hadn't even thought about the sanctions preventing an ice show from coming here...well, I hope they can find a way around it. I never think it's fair to punish regular people for the acts of their government.

On the Mercedes thing - I also thought Plushy meant that Yuzuru is like Mercedes, best in class, with the rest inferior. I think I would call Kovtun something like a Mustang rather than a Volvo though...that's just me.

I LOVE that the Russians take figure skating seriously. Here in the Americas it is a bit of a sideshow while people worship hockey players, wife-beating football players (oh no I didn't) and anyone who is in the gossip rags (formerly Tiger Woods). If it were up to me, Marlie and Voir would be #1 for US and Canada, respectively.

I think it's great figure skaters are held in such high esteem in Russia. :rock:

I remember there are an article before Sochi marvelling about how Russia's favourite athlete isn't a hockey player or a football player--it's a (male) figure skater. :biggrin:

Tessa/Scott/Patrick are certainly visible here in Canada, but I don't think they'd be able to top any polls, sadly.

ha-ha...Plushy was not once the best athlete in Russia. For example in 2013. Funny because he competed just the at ECH 2013 where he withdrew after the SP. Yesterday the fans of other sports were outraged. :biggrin:

Some of them said the FS isn't sport...

But he is famous and a big star. He has almost 408 000 followers on Twitter.
