Yes! That was my first thought when I saw him on the Zamboni :) I'm curious now...what sort of training does one need to use a Zamboni? Is a driver's licence enough? Or would you have to do a special course?

Moving along... congratulations to Plushy and Team Angels! First and second place in ladies today! I'm so happy for Sasha T too! I'm probably in the minority but I really like her FS, the powerful music adds so much excitement. :)

I was a bit concerned to see Plushy didn't come to the medal ceremony though! I wonder why he missed it? Also is that a big coaching no-no? I know people complain about him anyway, but probably best not to give them ammunition.

Also, at first I thought he'd given up on applauding his skaters for a jump well-done or to encourage them after a mistake but he did it for Valeria, so...

I do wonder why he was wearing what appeared to be a rain jacket:laugh2: a high fashion rain jacket maybe, but still!

I see also that Sergei R and Plushy wore "Angels of Plushenko" branded masks. Guess they took my advice! ;) :p

Congratulations to Plushy and his team! :yahoo: Compared to last stage, Trusova made some huge progress in FS, despite those falls. :rock: Kostornaya's first start in the new season is also a big success! :love2: If she retires some day in the near future, I will surely feel really really sad.

Plushy's new rink looks vey good! (y) The first private rink of such scale in Russia, right? Wish him great success in his potentially ambitious projects!

It is a pity that Kirill couldnot get on the podium, but the boys' competitions are much more interesting to watch, imo, especially the last warm-up group. Among them, Anisimov's skating impressed me the most. So smooth skating and so soft landing of those beautiful jumps, just WOW!:love2:

After watching Sviridenko's performaces at this stage, I somehow got lost. I don't know what the selection criteria are at the AOP, but how could he pass the test skate there with such poor jumping technique at such age? I didn't see any outstanding qualities in his skating at all. Please forgive my ignorance and complete bewilderment. :confused:

One more question here:
How old is Rozanov now? To be honest, I don't think he looks that hot, but some on-line gossips are just so ridiculous to read! :eek: :mad:

I didn't actually see Leonid, so I went and checked them out. It is a shame about the jumps, some of them were OK, others were all over the place! I'm not sure exactly how the Academy takes students, but Leonid only recently moved to the Academy from St Peterburg, so perhaps Sergei R and Plushy can help him out.

I asked Google this question, but I couldn't find anything definite. He competed at the 2007 and 2008 Russian (Senior) Nationals, so I would say late 20s?

He's easy on the eyes, but yeah not the hottest guy ever or anything :laugh2:
