With the approaching Winter Games, the tension and pressure under which those skaters are training on a daily basis is growing much stronger than ever. Yet, my interest in these Games is lost because of all the same old boring programs presented so far in 4 disciplines. Maybe my expectations are too high or I am growing out of this sport gradually. Hopefully things will change with time.
Here I would like to say a few words for Yana. As a loving mother and wife, her reaction to those attacks on her loved ones is very natural and understandable. I don't think they are the type of people who are willing to swallow any public insult like a fool. I could not stop laughing when such big names as Mishin, Tchaikovskaya, Orser, Harutyunyan and Morozov were mentioned by Yana to contradict the TAT's version on Sasha's potential as a skater... Yana, such a strong and supportive mother! Russians should at least understand some basic rules when dealing with any arguments or issues between grown-ups: Never get their kids involved!
As for the part about Trusova and Kostornaya, I don't know if it is all right or at the wrong time, but silence is not always golden. They suffered some big loss due to their transfer, which cannot simply be measured with money, and it will never be that easy to skip over this page until the truth is finally voiced.
After watching some of his training clips, only one word can be used to describe my feelings: Exhausting! If I were him, I would never choose this path. In other words, Plushy's painstaking efforts and devotion to this sport should be treated with great respect instead of ruthless attacks & brainless jeers.
