Evgeni Plushenko, returning from a vacation at the Maldives, arrived today at the event "Friends of Alexei Nemov visiting the "Bolshoy Sport"".

- Now I primarily needed to completely recover. Some kind of talks and statements about my future in figure skating, will be later. For now I have not yet started training, but I will start already this week. So, I'm not ready yet to clearly and definitely say what I decided. It all depends on my health. I feel myself much better now, rest gave me forces, I recovered, stayed with the family ...

Figure skater Evgeni Plushenko will start training on ice 24th May

"My vacation will last more three days, from May 24th I will start training. I should see state of my the back - allow me back to move, or not," - said Plushenko.

"I'm tired of sitting. I must train, prepare, make new programs. In St. Petersburg I will be until 1st of June, from 1-9, in Novogorsk."

He admitted that "it is too early to talk about the competition".

"I have planned different the events - Japan, China. For them I am preparing. First performances will be held in Japan in mid-June, people from the world of figure skating, fans will see me there for the first time. It will not be my top form, a minimum set of elements, but at least I'm going to show that I'm alive and well, if I succeed to prepare".

Excitement of the Sochi Olympics, according to Plushenko, had long passed. "For me, long ago it all passed, I do not strained strongly", - Plushenko so answered on question, if he continues to experience Olympic emotions. - "Work has already passed. First Olympics - this is one story when you are going with 18 years - it's one sensations, but fourth time - it is already the norm.

In May, he once already out on the ice. "I tried once, came to me little star from Japan, skater-actress. They made a short film about me. I had to go out to skate with her, and see how she skate around and for me it was interesting to try. Something i did very easy - a couple of steps, a pair of triples. In principle, nothing disturbed me."

Plushy isn't going bald! Okay, well, not enough for it to be a problem! I mean, I didn't even think in that direction until Plushyfan said it. Fine, no mullet, but why not wear his hair longer? Maybe pushed-back hair like Carmen EX? Or the 'do from 2012 Euros? I just don't want any more comparisons to Christoph Clark.

I'm dead broke right now and probably can't afford shows here in Canada, let alone in Japan/China. Maybe I'll try blackmailing my cousins in China. But I don't know how to do that without sounding like a creep. Hmm... :think:

Yeah, that would be amazing! I bet Yuzuru would be more hyped & excited than the fans present! It's nice to see Plushenko continue to be so passionate about skating, I feel like there's no end to his career!

I hope they have lots of ambulances waiting outside the rink if Plushy and Yuzuru perform together...it will be like a Beatles concert with all the screaming and fainting fangirls.

Maybe I should take back what I said about bringing back the mullet--grow out the hair, of course, but no mullet. If Plushy shows up in Japan with a mullet, I have a feeling Yuzu will run off to the barber right away.

Btw, any chance Plush will invite non-European (and non-Johnny) skaters to Kings on Ice in the future? I have this vision of Yuzu doing 4 Kings with Plush.

Everyone should watch the EC2012 Small Medal Ceremony. The marriage proposal was awesome--even better was how Plushy pushed Artur to reply.

Watched the medal ceremony and I felt a little bad for Artur not getting any questions. (And lol @ Florent going AWOL.) But Plushy is so charismatic, he just has to say one word and he has the audience in the palm of his hand. At the risk of sounding creepy, I could watch him all day. : He just has the most expressive face.

^While I don't have anything against a second book, I'm not sure if that's the best place to address the situation. People who read his book will be people who already like him (and thus already know the situation).

It would be good to explain things to the "Why didn't he WD earlier?" crowd. But if anyone still thinks he should've "gone until the end" with a snapped screw... how on earth are you supposed to reach out to someone that heartless?
