Is it Plushy dancing with Yuzu in first part ?
Yup. And someone from Plushy forum has just reported about this show:

Short report from my friend( Chinese fan in Japan):

6.22 afternoon show:
Plush was the last performer in the first half show.High mood.Did 3t ,3t2t ,2a in the program"storm".All the jumps were very clean and good.
He was so happy and busy throwing kisses to all the audiences where he was surrounded by the shouting "Zhenya"

plush and Yuzu jumped 3T side by side in the finale just like show "TOI", but this was not over. They made some circles face to face while the movements were inside spread eagle. After several circles two men danced a few pieces to every directions side by side. Both were very happy and tried their best.

I am just worried that sooner or later Yuzu will push Plushy on this shows to do quad again if he is already doing 3a

Miki is one of my favorite female skaters...I knew there was a reason I liked her! (not only for that, of course)

We need good quality video of these shows! Come on Japanese tv...but at least the ToI program should air soon (isn't it the 23rd in Japan already?) and Yana confirms he's doing DoI which will definitely be televised too :yay:

3A already... how long has he been back on ice now again? I'm both pleased and worried at Yana's tweet - pleased that she will capture his 3A, worried wondering just how many 3As he... I was going to say "planning to" jump, but maybe plans don't come into it so much as spur of the moment decisions, so I'll change that to... how many he will jump.

Was his first 3A quicker this time than last year? If so, does that mean that he is feeling much better this year than last? I'm getting that feeling, in any event.

Yes. This 3A was earlier. But he has no screws. I think this is better feeling for him.

The music from the Red Cat program is a piece by Rossini called "Cat's Duet," which seems to be a fairly popular humorous opera piece (I know very little about opera apart from the music used by skaters, so I'm just going by what Wiki says, lol).
Huh. Well, that makes a bit more sense. A bit. The Hallowe'en costume situation is still... I dunno.

I, too, like the Godfather outfit. The only nice-looking Olympic-winning outfit since... Brian Boitano?! (Sorry, Viktor, Alexei, Ilia, and Alexei...) Also, seems like black-and-red sums up every one of his Olympic outfits: Carmen 2002, Godfather 2006, Tango Amore 2010, Tango Roxanne 2014... I think my head might explode if he goes to Pyeongchang without those colours (and everyone else's heads will explode just because he went at all).

"Scroll down for colour." (Despite sharing the "bring colour!" sentiment, I think my favourite outfit ever might be the very black Tango Roxanne suit at Europeans. It's just so... elegant. And let's face it, he'll look pretty silly wearing the Bolero or MJ Medley outfits at 31. (Okay, those were silly even at 18, but still).

I like the Volvo Cup outfit but... I'm not sure I liked the SP program. I know changing to Tango Roxanne of all things received lots of flak, but that was a more dynamic program. Volvo Cup SP was too low-key for his planned swan song, imo.

I'm trying to figure out if he's trying to bring back Swan, or if he's bringing back Crazy Bird.

Oh my... 3A already?! Darn it, Plush, you're feeding the myth that figure skating isn't hard and isn't a sport! Everyone will look at this 31-year-old getting back his 3A in ~3 months after surgery and think these jumps are nothing!

What next? Will Plushy and Mushy add an extra revolution to their side-by-side jumps?

Wonderful to hear kind words from Oda and Miki. I kinda have a soft sport for Miki, which is strange, since she won her titles over Mao and Yuna (who I both love). Something about her just really makes me root for her.

Yes, the Tango Roxanne costume was a mature, elegant choice for a man of a certain age (in figure skating years, anyway ;)). But I think his Tribute To Nijinsky costume with the gold design was my favorite of all time (or the Godfather...I can never decide. And his traditional Russian costumes, so cute for a young boy). Gold also suits him, to match his golden locks and his many gold medals.

As I recall, he was meant to rest and recuperate for 6 months or so after his surgery...did I dream it? He surely knows his body better than anyone, but I think he has such a drive to skate, perform, compete that it might win out over sensibility. I don't know. It's what he wants to do and I don't think anyone can stop him. The Hello! interview made that pretty clear.

Lol, I'm always a little confused by the Bolero outfit. Was it supposed to be sexy, with all the strategically placed sheer fabric? But that theory's kinda shot down by the fact that one part of the sheer fabric was his... kneecap. Was it supposed to be tongue-in-cheek/parody like Sex Bomb? Not to mention, he was eighteen--younger than Yuzu is right now!

I'm not against flashy outfits in principle. I kinda liked the red MJ Medley outfit. But... as much as I'd like to see Plushy wear more gold to go with his hair and medals (Dark Eyes!), the gold MJ outfit was way overkill.

Do you mean this Tribute to Nijinsky outfit? http://www.kingonice.com/photo/aoi04-015.jpg If so, I agree it's prettier and fits better with the program. However, it seems like he skates better when he's wearing the Adagio outfit. I like both gold-and-black outfits very much. Where did they go anyway? I'm sure he still has them, but he didn't bring either back when during Japan Open 2010. :disapp: Tosca outfit wasn't nearly as awesome (the cut around the armpits was a little... unflattering. Actually, reminds me a little of the Bolero outfit. Oh great, that's not an image I want in my head!)

Yeah, I remember something about six months... But Mishin recently said he'll go through a full-body examination once he gets to the training camp, right? I think the surgery went a little too well. :slink: Now the guy's throwing triple axels like they're a walk in the park. It's like he never lost any jumps to begin with.

I was actually thinking of the Adagio costume. I associate it more with Nijinksy because I've watched that particular epic performance so many times. It's just the right amount of shimmer and it hugs his body in all the right ways...:slink: But the one you linked is also very nice.

These photos of Plushy kicking around a soccer ball just popped up on my Twitter feed and I found them way more interesting than anything to do with the World Cup. Is that another "you know you're obsessed" sign?:

Overloaded by cuteness in those pics!

Lol, if Yuzu starts sporting a mullet, I think we'll get a lot of angry comments like, "Argh, that stupid old Plushenko just won't go away, even when he's retired!!" And of course, if Plush does come back, he'll kinda have no choice but to bring the mullet back as well.

"You know you're obsessed with figure skating when you'd rather look at pics of your favourite skater playing football, rather than watching the World Cup?"

Er, agreed that the Adagio outfit was very... flattering. I think he's sexier when he doesn't make me confused. And to be fair to the bejeweled outfit I linked to, I think his Worlds performance even with the random fall was still the second-best performance of Nijinsky (after the legendary Nationals one, of course). I wish I could go back in time and prevent the fall, because the rest was just

Speaking of outfits, some relevant articles:

http://www.slate.com/blogs/five_rin...an_figure_skater_bows_out_of_olympics_to.html
(Also, linked to that article is this one about the Vancouver Olympics: http://www.slate.com/articles/sports/fivering_circus/2010/02/jumping_vs_twirling.html Age-old news, but I think it's a very accurate analysis, part about Weir aside. It's obviously exaggerated for comedic effect, but I like how it didn't go with the stale and inaccurate "athleticism vs. artistry" analysis. And I agree about what it said regarding Dai and Stephane, on that night...).

Plushy's sheer outfit in the Team LP got in! I actually wasn't such a huge fan of it, but I'm not gonna complain. ;)
