    I just checked the list of entries for the russian nationals and I'm a bit concerned that Plushenko's name is not there. Anybody has a clue why?

    There's no such a thing as "list of entries" for RN yet. What you can see now, and btw not on the official site, is the provisional or preliminary non-official list, which is basically the list of those who is ranked first 18 based on GP and qualifiers (Cup of Russia) results www.fskate.ru/info/rusnat/2013/sel_men/ . The final list of etries will be issued later by the RusFed (the last 18th guy on the list will be likely kicked out). If you stroll down the link, you'll see Plu is mentioned as the one who plans to skate. Mishin just a couple of days ago said that Plu wll be at RN. The same info is on his official site. Twice or more Worldl/Europeans champions can get the direct spot for Nationals without participating in GP or qualifiers.
