Wasn't Isabella's old partner Ian Lorello? I think Alexander Lorello is a completely different person, though he trains at the same rink....

Carly Gold finish 5th at sectionals -- drat! So close. But it looked like she did not have a good FS. :(

Another shocker -- Nina Jiang, who WON sectionals last year, actually finished behind Carly in 6th.

Glad to see Becky Berswell back at Nationals. Also very cool she is trying 3T-1L-3S and going for a 7-triple program!

Ashley Cain won by 12 points.

Too bad Carly didn't make it! And to miss by just one spot . . . oh well. Hopefully she'll make it next year.

Alexander Lorello is Ian Lorello's older brother. He has partnered Katharine Pilgrim for a bit but they did not compete much of last season due to injury.

Ian and Isabella Cannuscio split; Ian moved from Delaware to Detroit to partner with Lauri Bonacorsi, but she was injured shortly after and moved back home to (I believe) attend college. Ian remains in Detroit, training in Camerlengo's group and also teaching skating and dance. Bramante and former partner Kaitlin Hawayek split, and she now skates with Jean Luc Baker out of DSC.

Somehow in all this Bramante paired up with Isabella Cannuscio and they really skated well at sectionals, I especially enjoyed their Edith Piaf/Can Can SD. They seem an excellent match.

Thanks for the clarification. I had remembered that Ian was at DSC.....

Max Aaron might be a dark horse at nationals this year. He's been quite consistent at his competitions this year and his BV is pretty high! He did 4S-3T and a 3A-2T and 3Z-1L-3S in the second half of the program. His TES was actually higher than Kozuka's from COR! (Of course he doesn't have the PCS, obviously )
